Program Manager

1r is a digital agency that partners with leading eCommerce brands to drive sustainable, multi-channel growth. We blend strategic consulting with performance marketing, retention marketing, content, and best-in-class Shopify design & build. Our clients span high-growth digitally native brands and iconic category leaders across beauty, apparel, lifestyle, home, food & beverage, and approachable luxury verticals.

We're looking for a Program Manager who's equal parts strategist, systems builder, and relationship driver. You'll lead cross-functional initiatives that cut across services—Web, Performance Marketing, Operations, and Creative—and be the go-to partner for clients leveraging multiple agency offerings. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role focused on operational excellence, efficiency, and client retention. You'll architect how we deliver work, mentor PM talent, and ensure our clients experience a consistent, high-performing partnership with 1R.

• Analyze and improve project management processes with an eye toward efficiency, scalability, and clarity.

• Identify friction points and implement tools, workflows, and reporting systems to improve delivery speed and quality.

• Champion continuous improvement through performance reviews, retros, and process audits.

• Collaborate on creating and refining 1R's project management SOPs across Web, Marketing, Ops, and Creative.

• Document clear processes for delivery, handoffs, communication, and client lifecycle management.

• Ensure SOPs scale with the agency and serve as a blueprint for high-quality execution.

• Serve as the strategic point of contact for key clients engaging multiple 1R service lines.

• Coordinate efforts across departments to ensure alignment, cohesion, and seamless delivery.

• Foster deep, trust-based client relationships focused on long-term retention, growth, and proactive value delivery.

• Guide, coach, and support Project Managers and Coordinators—developing their skills and elevating delivery standards.

• Model clear communication, accountability, and calm under pressure.

• 5+ years in program or senior project management, ideally in an e-commerce, digital, or creative agency setting.

• Strong experience building SOPs and improving team operations.

• Proven ability to manage large, multi-service client relationships.

• Comfortable in both high-level strategic conversations and tactical project oversight.

• Adept in PM tools like Jira, Smartsheet, Notion, Productive, or similar platforms.

• Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and knows how to bring structure without red tape.

• Familiarity with Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta Ads, or the broader DTC tech stack.

• PMP, Scrum, or Agile certifications.

• Experience in a remote-first team environment.
