Program Manager I

Labcorp is seeking a Program Manager I to join our team in Shanghai China.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate assigned program activities from award through completion 

  • Review scope, timelines, deliverables, and required documents to identify gaps, risks, or support needs 

  • Organize internal and client meetings and capture actions, decisions, and follow-up items 

  • Maintain program tools that track timelines, actions, risks, resources, and communication 

  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for awarded work and support clear communication with clients, internal teams and the commercial team 

  • Partner with study teams, scientific leads, operational leads, project managers, and vendors to align schedules, milestones, and deliverables 

  • Track key milestones and escalate risks, delays, or decisions in a timely manner 

  • Support quality and compliance by following processes, keeping accurate records, and helping resolve issues 

  • Contribute to process improvement, training, shared practices, and team support 

  • Demonstrate teamwork, accountability, and leadership behaviors appropriate for the role 

  • Manages assigned components of scientific or operational projects with moderate autonomy

  • Drafts and reviews study documentation with increasing ownership and accountability for quality

  • Participates in client meetings and contributes to technical discussions under guidance from senior staff

  • Identifies and supports implementation of process improvements within the team

  • Provides mentorship and training to junior team members, sharing best practices and technical knowledge

  • Coordinates small project teams or workstreams to support study execution

  • Supports quality control and peer reviews to ensure consistency and compliance

  • May begin contributing to departmental planning or capability-building discussions

  • Performs other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives

  • Works independently, and demonstrates teamwork and the leadership principles appropriate for the role

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Pharmaceuticals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 or more years of experience in safety assessment.

  • Project management training or certification.

  • Working knowledge of safety assessment, nonclinical development, regulated laboratory operations.

  • Proficiency in English.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
