Role Summary

The Program Manager – Learning & Development would design, develop, deploy, and manage end – to – end learning programs aligned with business priorities. This role requires a strong blend of facilitation expertise, instructional design capability, program governance, and business solutioning. The incumbent will act as a strategic partner to stakeholders, translating business challenges into impactful learning and capability solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Learning Strategy and Business Solutioning

  • Partner with business leaders to diagnose capability gaps and performance challenges
  • Translate business problems into scalable learning solutions (learning journeys, blended programs, interventions etc.)
  • Design customized, outcome-driven learning solutions aligned to organizational strategy
  • Act as a consultant to the business, recommending learning or non-learning interventions where relevant.

Program Design & Content Development

  • Lead end to end design of learning programs (ILTs, VILTs, blended, digital, self-paced)
  • Create or curate high-quality learning content, including, facilitation presentation, facilitator guides, participants workbooks, case studies, simulations, role plays, digital learning assets (videos, microlearning, assessments)
  • Ensure instructional design principles are applied (adult learning principles, experiential learning, behavior change focus).

Facilitation & Delivery Excellence

  • Facilitate learning programs for professional/behavioral and managerial development.
  • Drive high levels of learning engagement through experiential, discussion-led facilitation.
  • Coach internal facilitators and enable faculty readiness when required
  • Continuously refine facilitation approaches based on participant feedback and business needs.

Program Deployment & End-to-End Management

  • Own the entire program lifecycle: Needs analysis, design & deployment, pilot and rollout, measurement and optimization
  • Building communication and marketing materials related to program implementation.
  • Manage multiple learning programs simultaneously with strong governance and execution rigor.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (HRBPs, SMEs, business leaders) and external vendors/partners.
  • Ensure timely delivery, quality standards and cost optimization.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and HR partners
  • Present learning proposals, progress updates, and impact reports to leadership
  • Manage external vendors, facilitators and content partners for delivery and development
  • Ensure alignment between stakeholders, vendors and internal teams.

Measurement, Impact & Continuous Improvement

  • Define success metrics aligned to business outcomes (behavior change, performance improvement)
  • Measure program effectiveness using feedback assessments and impact evaluation frameworks.
  • Use insights and data to continuously enhance learning solutions
  • Document best practices and create reusable learning frameworks.

Experience in deploying:

  • Professional and managerial development programs
  • Large scale learning interventions and long-tenured learning programs
  • Familiarity with Workday/LMS/LXP platforms and digital learning ecosystems
  • Ability to create compelling learning narratives and solutioning proposals.

  • Post Graduate qualification in HR, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, Psychology, or related fields preferred.
  • 6 – 10 years of experience in Learning & Development with:
    • Significant experience in program management
    • Solid facilitation experience
    • Proven exposure to solutioning for business problems
  • Experience in corporate, consulting, or large-scale organizational learning environments is an advantage.

Skills Required

  • 6-10 years of experience in Learning & Development
  • Significant experience in program management
  • Solid facilitation experience (in-person and virtual)
  • Instructional design and content development expertise
  • Experience designing and deploying large-scale learning interventions and long-tenured programs
  • Familiarity with Workday, LMS, LXP or digital learning ecosystems
  • Ability to translate business problems into scalable learning solutions and create learning narratives/proposals
