Position: Talent & Engagement Manager

Reports To: Associate Director, Talent & Engagement
Location: Gurgaon
Role Background/ Objective
This position is responsible for the development and implementation of global talent management and organisation development initiatives for R1 India. This position will work closely with Associate Director, Talent & Engagement to support and facilitate range of people and organization development initiatives.
This role requires a strategically oriented, solutions-driven professional who combines strong project management discipline with deep talent management expertise. The incumbent must be adept at influencing stakeholders, managing complex cross-functional initiatives in a matrix environment, and translating business strategy into scalable people solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the global talent management and local HR and business stakeholders to design and implement enterprise-wide Talent and OD strategies aligned to organizational priorities
- Manage multiple, complex talent and engagement initiatives using strong project management practices, including planning, governance, risk management, stakeholder communication, and execution
- Create clear project plans, milestones, and success measures; proactively track progress and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery
- Coordinate with global and local stakeholders to ensure alignment, scalability, and seamless execution across geographies
- Leverage people analytics, engagement insights, and qualitative data to drive evidence-based decisions, measure effectiveness, and continuously enhance talent programs
- Consult with business leaders to design customized talent and team development solutions, addressing current and future capability needs
- Drive Culture and Change initiatives by embedding organizational values, leadership behaviors, and the Leadership Competency Framework across HR processes and employee life-cycle touchpoints
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- 6-10 years of work experience, with at least 3-4 years in a COE role in Talent Management in a global MNC, in a matrix structure
- Strong grounding in Talent Management frameworks, including performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and employee engagement
- Demonstrated project management capability, with experience handling multiple, parallel initiatives end-to-end
- Hands-on experience using project planning, tracking, and collaboration tools to manage timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communication
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage credibly with senior leaders
- Experience partnering with and managing external vendors for talent, OD, engagement, and learning interventions
- Strong content design and program development skills, including creation of toolkits, playbooks, communications, and learning materials
- Exposure to best-in-class HRIS and learning systems (e.g., Workday or similar platforms)
- High level of initiative and creativity, with the ability to originate, scope, customize, and implement solutions
- Experience in running best employer / workplace certification programs
- Exposure to managing Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) or employee networks
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage ambiguity, and deliver with high ownership and accountability
- Sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive matters
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with ability to present insights and recommendations effectively
