Connected Communities' Economic Mobility department creates, implements, and scales promising programs centered on the economic stability and mobility of affordable housing residents.
We are seeking an Economic Mobility Program Manager to manage daily operations and contribute to the strategic expansion of our economic mobility programs, with a majority focus on the HUD Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program.
The ideal candidate will be accurate, reflective, mission oriented, and eager to work within a growing and changing organization to build economic mobility pathways for residents.
This is a hybrid opportunity, with 2 days being remote. This role offers a regular business hour schedule: Monday through Friday, from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. The pay range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 annually, and is performance bonus eligible.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for daily operations of FSS and other economic mobility programs. Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise outside the confines of standard processes. Identify and act on opportunities for operational improvement.
- Build strong working relationships with partners (including site teams, owner clients and service providers) to collaboratively achieve positive economic mobility outcomes for residents. (Travel to program sites is required up to an estimated 1-2x/month)
- Maintain a strong knowledge of economic mobility programs, sites, and regulatory requirements.
- Collect, sanitize, store, and load program data. Generate and distribute regular and ad hoc reports. Analyze data for insights and program evaluation.
- Conduct research into resources, industry best practices, and other topics relevant to FSS and economic mobility programs. Ideate promising economic mobility programs and strategies.
- Formulate policy and procedures in alignment with the strategic direction and goals of Connected Communities and the Economic Mobility department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3-5 years relevant work experience.
- Less than 1 year supervisory/management experience.
- Ability to travel 1-2 times per month throughout the portfolio.
- Skill in manipulating data (e.g. culling outliers out of a dataset).
- Ability to convey complex information clearly, particularly in writing.
- Ability to organize work and manage projects that involve external contributors (e.g. contracted vendors).
- Ability to build trust and engage stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Knowledge of fundamental statistical concepts (e.g. reversion to the mean).
- Knowledge of major issues in economic mobility and poverty alleviation (e.g. racial wealth gaps).
- Skill in upper-intermediate MS Excel functionality (e.g. FILTER, DATEDIF).
