Program Manager – Components
Position Summary
The Program Manager for Components & Sub-Systems is responsible for the end-to-end execution and delivery of a defined portion of a Fluence product or program, such as an electrical component, electronic subsystem, battery-related subsystem, power electronics module, charging system, embedded controller, software module, or technical workstream.
This role is ideally suited to candidates with experience delivering electrical and electronic products through development, validation, manufacturing readiness, and production launch. The successful candidate will drive timing, quality, cost, and readiness objectives while coordinating across Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Management teams.
The Program Manager owns schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, supplier coordination, and launch readiness activities for their assigned scope and is accountable for ensuring successful integration into the broader product platform.
Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in battery systems, energy storage systems and Control software developments.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of assigned subsystems/workstreams from requirements through validation, launch and production readiness.
- Develop and manage program plans, schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies and mitigation actions to ensure on-time delivery.
- Drive cross-functional execution across Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Management, and external suppliers.
- Coordinate subsystem integration and readiness across hardware, software, manufacturing, procurement and validation activities.
- Manage engineering changes, launch readiness, issue resolution, and provide structured status updates to leadership.
- Build stakeholder alignment, proactively escalate risks, and support regulatory, compliance, and customer deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
- 3–7 years of experience in Program Management, Project Management, Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing or related technical roles.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional delivery of hardware and/or software development programs.
- Experience managing Embedded software components, electrical and/or electronic components or subsystems through development, validation, supplier engagement, manufacturing readiness and production launch.
- Strong experience with schedule management, risk management, milestone planning, dependency management, and executive communication.
- Proven ability to drive execution and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Experience working within multinational engineering or product development environments.

Skills Required
- 3-7 years of experience in Program or Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or similar roles managing technical deliverables or workstreams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive execution across hardware and/or software development environments.
- Strong schedule management, risk management, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate with ownership and independence while maintaining alignment with broader program organization.
- Ability to work closely with global teams across time zones and coordinate with multinational product development organizations.
- Experience with component-level or subsystem-level planning, procurement, supplier coordination, and production readiness.
- Understanding of embedded systems, APIs, and cross-component software interactions.
- Experience managing software or firmware development workstreams, familiarity with SDLC, backlog management, software integration, and validation processes.
- Certifications (PMP, Agile, Lean) a plus.
