About Kasa

Kasa is the leading tech-enabled hotel and apartment hotel brand and manager. We partner with owners of multifamily and boutique hospitality properties to deliver stylish, professionally managed accommodations to business and leisure travelers alike. We took the best that hotels and short-term rentals had to offer and created a new class of hospitality that is well-priced, reliable, and offers a large selection of great locations.

Unlike traditional hotel operators, we prioritize automation, AI-driven pricing, and data-driven decision-making to optimize revenue and improve guest experiences. Behind the scenes, we build technology that combines with our innovative operations to grow a globally scalable offering that delivers high-quality stays to guests. Our guests enjoy seamless check-ins, caring service, and attractive amenities — and if anything comes up, our on-site and remote guest experience team is available throughout their stay, ensuring our hospitality is rarely seen but always felt.

This is a remote position open to candidates based in and authorized to work in the United States. The Role

Kasa is seeking a Program Associate to help operationalize the projects that keep our hospitality operations running well and improving. You're a generalist at heart, someone who loves trying new things and learning on the fly, and this role rewards exactly that: you'll flex across a wide range of work, from overhauling an SOP, to project managing a launch alongside the launch team, to helping scope product and tooling improvements with the teams who build them.

Change management is at the center of this role. Most of what you deliver will change how a team already works. You'll own the rollout, the adoption, and the follow-through. You'll partner closely with program leads, portfolio teams, and Product. That means reading detailed product specs and user guides, then pulling out what actually matters for each operational role. A Support Specialist and a Housekeeping lead need different things from the same launch, so the guide you write for each should show the moment they'd reach for the feature and what they'd do with it. You'll also keep the details from slipping between teams.

You're organized and proactive in your communication. You write updates even when there isn't a major update, because you know stakeholders need to understand where the work stands, where it's headed, and what decisions have already been made. You document clearly, communicate consistently, and use data to support your recommendations and track progress.

We're looking for someone who is genuinely data-forward, comfortable looking honestly at their own projects and asking what worked, what didn't, and what to do differently next time. Though this role is remote, occasional travel to Kasa Portfolio Properties will be necessary for implementing solutions, testing changes, and testing onsite.

About the Team

This role is in our Hospitality Programs department, with close ties to teams across Kasa. While the Hospitality Programs team has a broad set of backgrounds in hospitality, real estate, technology, and beyond, everyone joined Kasa because they're passionate about ensuring our guests, property partners, and neighbors receive reliable and consistent high-quality service during each interaction.

Day in the life of a Kasa Program Associate

As a Program Associate, you'll move between projects at different stages, owning execution on some and supporting the team on others. On any given week you might be:

Delivering on Operations Projects

  • Own the execution of assigned operational projects end to end, from kickoff through rollout and adoption.
  • Overhaul and rewrite SOPs and operational documents so they're clear, current, and actually followed.
  • Utilizes AI to automate health checks on documentation and automate deliverables.
  • Help scope product and internal tooling improvements, translating operational pain points into clear requirements for the teams who build.
  • Utilizes AI to help come up with solutions that translate to better workflows and operations for our onsite teams.

Change Management

  • Own change management for every rollout. You'll identify who's affected, train them on what's changing, and verify adoption after launch.
  • Flag problems early. Don't wait until a project is visibly late to say something.
  • Act as a bridge between on-the-ground realities and program-level strategy, surfacing what's working and what isn't.

Data & Self-Review

  • Define what success looks like before a project starts, and set clear measurement criteria against it.
  • Track your outcomes and deliver retros to inform the next project. Every project should have something to takeaway as a learning experience.
  • Use operational data to prioritize, make the case for changes, and show impact.
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in operations, project coordination, or hospitality.
  • Comfort managing multiple projects at once across different stages and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Your Attributes

  • Generalist at Heart: You love trying new things and learning on the fly, and you're comfortable being handed an unfamiliar problem and figuring it out.
  • Change-Ready: You've rolled out a new process or tool and gotten people to adopt it, not just launched it.
  • Data-Forward: Comfortable pulling, reading, and acting on operational data, and honest about measuring your own results.
  • Communicates in Writing: You write clear, frequent updates so stakeholders always know status, direction, and history, even when the update is "no update yet."
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with tools like Google Suite, Notion, Claude, and Slack.
  • Travel-Ready: Willingness and ability to travel to Kasa properties as needed.
Plus if...
  • 1+ years in a startup or fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Exposure to short-term rental operations, housekeeping, or maintenance.
  • Experience scoping or supporting product/tooling work with technical teams.
  • Comfort building and maintaining trackers, dashboards, or lightweight reporting.
In one year, you will succeed at Kasa by:
  • Delivering assigned operations projects on time and, more importantly, getting them adopted.
  • Building a track record of clean SOP overhauls and smooth rollouts that teams actually use.
  • Becoming a reliable project management partner to the launch and program teams.
  • Showing, with data, that you learn from each project and get sharper with the next.
Benefits
  • Remote Work: With flexibility as a core value, and over three-quarters of the team working remotely, Kasa employees can work from anywhere, including our Kasa’s across the country!
  • Kasa Travel Credit: We love to travel! Kasa employees get an allowance of free stays with us in any of our locations, plus a discount on any night for friends and family.
  • The Pay: The starting base pay range for this role is between $60,000 and $70,000 and is set based on multiple considerations, including business needs, market demands, talent availability, experience, and unique skills and attributes. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified. This role may also be eligible for equity, bonus, perks, benefits, and Kasa Travel Credits.
  • Generous Stock Option Plan: At Kasa, our compensation philosophy is to offer a total compensation package that over-indexes on equity to encourage our team to think like owners (by being owners) and benefit from the value growth that our collective hard work creates.
  • Flexible PTO: Full-time exempt Kasa employees are encouraged to take time off as they need and see fit, ensuring that it’s not disruptive to their work.
  • 401(k) Plan: As you invest in yourself and your future, Kasa invests in you too.
  • Health Coverage: We’ve invested in comprehensive health insurance options to help when you need it most.
  • Other Perks: Qualifying full-time roles are eligible for a wi-fi stipend, cell-phone reimbursement, home office stipend, and more!
