About the Role

As a Production Supervisor, you will play a key role in coordinating labor assignments, supervising employee development, and ensuring safe and efficient plant operations. This position partners closely with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives, foster a positive work environment, and achieve production goals.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who excels at coaching teams, solving problems, and maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

  • Perform quality checks on equipment, processes, and work areas to ensure customer and quality standards are met.

  • Develop and manage employee work schedules to achieve production and operational goals.

  • Delegate responsibilities and provide direction to team members to ensure efficient workflow.

  • Train, cross-train, evaluate, and develop employees while providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback.

  • Initiate and support disciplinary actions when necessary in accordance with company policies.

  • Monitor and supervise cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.

  • Generate and review daily operational reports to ensure shift continuity and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Identify, communicate, and escalate maintenance concerns to minimize downtime and support operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with the Quality Department to establish, maintain, and improve quality standards.

  • Develop and implement action plans to improve productivity, efficiency, and overall plant performance.

  • Document injuries, investigate incidents, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Participate in hiring activities and support employee onboarding, coaching, development, and performance management.

  • Review and recommend personnel actions for approval.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Maintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance.

Who You Are

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree with an emphasis in Management, Supervision, Business, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and warehouse systems, including MES, SAP, or similar platforms.

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

  • Effective time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to build productive working relationships and foster teamwork across departments.

  • Strong coaching and employee development skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Abilities

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the facility as needed.

  • Ability to respond to operational issues across production and warehouse areas.

  • Ability to perform additional physical activities required to support plant operations.

Skills Required
