We are looking for a Production Supervisor for our plant in Carlisle, PA. This individual will be responsible for the management of Plant 4 manufacturing process. The Production Supervisor will demonstrate leadership on shift to accomplish training objectives, meet production schedules in a high quality, safe manner, facilitates problem solving and decision making.


Schedule:

Rotating Shift: 7:00a.m – 3:30p.m.; 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; Rotates each week. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to shift personnel in order to meet the production requirements.
  • Review inventory and production levels to make recommendations and adjustments to maintain efficient balance.
  • Fill in for other Production Supervisors when required, due to vacation, off-site meetings and absenteeism.
  • Uniformly enforces and applies company policies and procedures to maintain fair and consistent work practices.
  • Provides honest, objective and specific feedback to crew leaders and production team members so they clearly understand improvement opportunities.
  • Serves as facilitator, when needed, to maintain the group's focus and provide the necessary resources.
  • Ensures that published processing specifications (SOPs) and quality control tests are not only followed but recommendations for improvement are vetted and implemented when appropriate.
  • Monitors defect and downtime causes and provides feedback and recommendations to the Value Stream Managers so sustainable corrective actions can be implemented.
  • Provides clear, consistent direction relative to maintaining and enhancing a safe work environment for all employees, visitors and contractors.
  • Ensures incident reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner, and that the information is posted to the designated electronic database and shared across all shifts and, when appropriate, all operations.
  • Leads and conducts EH&S Awareness and Authorized Safety Trainings in a timely manner according to prescribed schedule.
  • Utilizes lean manufacturing tools to identify and drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinates gathering and dissemination of information for production team with other functional groups such as Production Scheduling, Shipping, R & D, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Human Resources.
  • Partner with shift maintenance team to understand downtime related maintenance requirements and help prioritize urgently needed production equipment repair.

Education & Experience:

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Preferred: Associate degree in Business Management or a related field
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with proven experience in one or more leadership or supervisory positions
    • Preferred: 5+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting with experience in various leadership positions
