Production Management on 3rd Shift
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinates production processes and activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Ensures the quality of products and services to internal and external customers while consistently seeking continuous improvement.
- Ensures equipment and facilities are maintained.
- Communicates the goals and objectives of the company to Molding, Extrusion, Tool Room, Mold Storage, Maintenance, P&A and Blending personnel and the wants and needs of employees to upper management.
- Ensures manufacturing processes are optimized, and products are manufactured to customer specifications.
- Ensures all production reports are accurate and timely communicated to the Operations Manager.
- Maintains control of all inventories within the manufacturing processes, including both raw material and finished products inventory.
- Ensures accurate production data is input into the SAP system.
- Follows and promotes employee adherence to all appropriate Safety, Health and Environmental policies, practices and procedures, including compliance to and adherence of ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train staff.
- Understanding of manufacturing and production in the industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, including ERP Systems such as SAP.
- Good understanding of Finance, including income statements, balance sheets, budgets and planning.
- Must be able to multi-task.
Education and Experience:
- High School Department required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Five (5) years manufacturing experience, preferably in an integrated manufacturing environment preferred.
- Five (5) years supervisory experience preferred.
- Exposure to machine noise.
- Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production area.
- Working conditions are normal for a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds and working in and around heavy equipment.
- Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and work boots.
- This role may require walking in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
