Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.

This role is contributing to the ABB India, Electrification Business Smart Power Division in India. will be based at “Nelamangala - Bangalore – India”.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Responsible for monitoring & implementation of Engineering Change Notice (ECN)
Shall be the key person in sharing Product Technical details (related) with CFT (Cross function team)
Responsible for Product Costing – Monitoring & Analyses on monthly basis
Verification & maintaining of Mfg. Bill of Material (MBOM) as per EBOM (Engg. BOM)
Project Management skills (leading projects on Localization, Value Engineering etc.
Qualifications for the role:
Education & Experience: Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience.
Technical Skill: In-depth knowledge of control gear and switchgear products and applications.
Standards Knowledge: Good understanding of applicable UL and IEC standards related to control gear and switchgear.
Testing & Compliance: Practical knowledge of testing procedures for control gear and switchgear to ensure compliance and quality.
Regulatory Awareness: Ability to interpret and apply international standards and testing requirements effectively.
Communication Skills: Proficient written and verbal communication skills for technical discussions and stakeholder interactions.
Professional Proficiency: Capable of supporting engineering, testing, and certification activities with a detail-oriented and quality-focused approach.
