ABOUT THE ROLE
A Production Engineer is responsible for overseeing and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high-quality output and cost-effectiveness. They work closely with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to optimize workflows, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvements.
Main missions:
· Monitor daily production operations to ensure targets are met (Card lamination, chip embedding, personalization, printing, encoding, quality inspection)
· Analyze production processes and identify areas for improvement
· Implement cost-saving and efficiency-enhancing initiatives
· Troubleshoot production issues and minimize downtime
· Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability
· Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs)
· Coordinate with quality control teams to maintain product standards
· Collect and analyze production data to improve performance
· Support new product introduction (NPI) and process validation.
· Maintain compliance with ISO standards, EMV standards, security and confidentiality requirements and health & safety regulations
· Participate in root cause analysis for defects and customer complaints
· Daily and monthly wastage and productivity records
ABOUT YOU
You are/have:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)
· 1–5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment (varies by level)
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
· Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems
· Good communication and teamwork abilities
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
· Technical proficiency in production equipment and tools
· Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies
· Familiarity with health and safety regulations
