Responsibilities

Production Engineering:

  • Generate project specific submittals for customer support
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials for part codes.
  • Create new part codes for Parent and Children parts.
  • Create Routers for estimated production runtimes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Monitor production progress and provide necessary assistance to address any issues with the interpretation of drawings.
  • Create programs using CAD software like SolidWorks to generate machine programs and drawings needed for production.
  • Evaluate runtimes for orders and identify and optimize processes

Cost Estimation:

  • Validate the existence of equipment capabilities, material availability, and necessary skill sets to manufacture the project
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for production projects, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to create accurate estimates.
  • Review and adjust estimates based on project changes and updates.
  • Provide feedback to improve cost estimation process and tools

Qualifications (education, experience, skills, personal attributes)

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in CAD software like AutoCAD or SolidWorks
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office apps including Excel
  • Able to Communicate with multiple groups across departments and work in a team environment
  • If remote, must be willing to travel to the facility on an on-going basis. Up to 50% travel. Heavy during training phase.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks

  • Effective communication and ability to work with multiple departments in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel to facility if remote; up to 50% travel (heavy during training)
