Responsibilities- As the Production Director, you are responsible for the quality of all projects developed by the studio:
- From the inception, you work hand in hand with other Directors to estimate the required staffing to answer the clients’ request for proposal
- You challenge your producers and other directors on ongoing project to reassess if we have the required manpower
- You ensure the cross-discipline collaboration to make recommendations and decisions regarding overall production vision
- You continuously assess risk with producers to identify project's potential issues and provide mitigations.
- You are responsible for the financial and operational profitability of the projects:
- You are responsible for the team proposal that are shared with the client
- You support the production teams to manage the project budgets:
- identifying resource requirements and expectations,
- tracking actual project spend versus planned spend, and
- continuously updating projections,You support the production teams to manage change:
- ensuring project scope is adhered to,
- controlling feature creep,
- ensuring project is delivered in line with expectations,
- and project budget changes if necessary.
- You manage the Production team:
- Lead and strengthen the growing production team and build the vision to maintain the excellence of the production in an ever-growing environment.
- Overview all the productions of the studio and support the producers in their roles.
- Ensure that each member of the production team has a strong sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability for the quality and timeliness of their contribution.
- Support the producers and the studio management in their relationships with the clients.
- Coach and mentor junior production staff.
- You are responsible for the communication regarding projects internally and externally:
- Manage communication of projects progress to the studio head, the division head and internal senior management teams,
- You are overviewing the relationship with clients and are responsible for their satisfaction.
- You share information regarding the projects to the studio team members
- Ensure excellent communication, positive working relationships and teamwork within the development teams and across disciplines.
- You are a driving force of the studio at large
- You work closely with the Studio Management to identify the projects that will help the studio fulfil its growth objectives.
- You are part of the studio’s Direction committee and work on topics to improve the overall management of the studio
- 10+-year experience at a senior level working in AAA game production (shipped at least 2 AAA console titles).
- Excellent understanding of the games industry and game development.
- Demonstrated skills to quickly master proprietary tools and development processes.
- Experience at leading a team with emphasis on collaborating with Senior and Executive level leadership.
- High level of accountability, with a desire to strongly contribute to a creative environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the capacity to adjust to the audience (team, internal or external stakeholders).
- A proven record in client relationship management.
- Experience with complex projects and tracking KPIs, including budget and plannings.
- Exceptional project management practices including excellent knowledge of SCRUM and Agile practices.
- Critical thinking, and analytical skills to resolve complex issues.
- Excellent decision-making skills.
- Strong ability to work under pressure.
