Job Summary
This position is an entry-level position that assists operators engaged in processing materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists operators at the coil loading and packaging ends of the line and as needed.
- Build pallets and shipping containers using hand and power tools.
- Band and palletize metal coils and/or metal sheets, placing tags/labels on finished products.
- Perform quality checks to verify proper lengths, widths, and weights are adhered to using the proper tools.
- Detects and reports faulty operations or defective materials.
- Moves or carries parts, equipment, or materials.
- Read and understand production orders.
- Wraps and unwraps materials.
- Housekeeping of work areas.
- Operates a sit-down forklift.
- Achieves production goals while complying with all safety requirements.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift. Training and certification provided regardless of previous experience.
- Ability to read documents and interpret facts and draw conclusions.
- Understanding basic math, reading, and writing.
- Good communication, organization, and time management skills.
Education and Experience:
- Required:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Working Conditions:
- Production facility where the ambient temperature may fluctuate, and the noise levels may be increased.
- Flexible to the possibility of overtime and weekend hours when required.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Used:
- Personal Protective Equipment is regularly required for this position which includes steel or composite toe boots, safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves and arm guards, and hearing protection.
Skills Required
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift (training and certification provided).
- Operate a sit-down forklift.
- Ability to read documents, interpret facts, and draw conclusions.
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
- Good communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials (including 51+ lbs occasionally).
- Ability to use hand and power tools and perform palletizing/banding tasks.
- Use required PPE (steel/composite toe boots, safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, arm guards, hearing protection).
