Mural is regulated financial infrastructure that fintechs, platforms, and banks build on to serve financial products to their end users across the US, Latin America, and beyond.
Financial products are commodities. The companies that win in payments won't win on features or price — they'll win by owning the account of record and the compliance spine underneath everyone else's products. Our customers don't just call our APIs — they run their businesses on us: their balances, their operations, their compliance state. We're deeply regulated today, with a licensing roadmap that matches the ambition of that sentence.
Mural has been engineering-led from day one. Now we're making our first dedicated product hires: Product Leads, one per pod, each owning a pillar of the business end to end. This is founding product — the roadmap you drive becomes the company.
About MuralMural moves money for companies building financial products. We've processed over $2 billion across US dollar, stablecoin, and international rails — USDC and USDT on major blockchains, ACH and wire in the US, and local rails across Latin America and Europe (PIX, SPEI, Bre-B, CBU/CVU, SEPA). Customers include Deel, Bolt, Opera, Koywe, Taxdome, Uniswap, Movii, and more. We've raised $28 million from Tether, North Island Ventures, Galaxy Digital, FirstMinute, Digital Currency Group, and more. We're an AI-native company: agentic tools are how we build, operate, and scale.
The RoleYou will be one of Mural's first product hires, reporting jointly to the COO and CTO. Leadership sets the vision; you form your own thesis — pressure-test ours, challenge it, then execute. You own the roadmap. You're accountable to metrics that map directly to revenue. You manage the partner and vendor relationships your pod depends on.
You’ll have a dedicated pod of engineers, real autonomy, and the mandate to define what product means at Mural. The person who does this exceptionally well is positioned to lead the product function as it scales.
This is not a write-tickets-and-groom-backlogs role:
You'll talk to customers constantly — weekly at minimum, often daily. Our deployment strategists will get you in the room; staying in it is on you.
You'll prototype your own ideas — working demos, not decks.
You'll work AI-natively. Agentic development is how this company operates. You should already build this way — and we'll ask you to show us.
You'll contribute code. Our public API is core product surface, and our product leads are expected to read the codebase, prototype against it, and ship.
Your pod: you plus at least two dedicated engineers, growing as the pod succeeds. You'll have direct input into pod engineering hires.
With BD: BD owns the deal; you own the roadmap — including the "no." Nothing gets committed to a customer pre-signature without product sign-off.
With forward-deployed engineering: FDE engagements touching your pod require your approval, and their output must generalize into the platform.
With leadership: direction-setting is a dialogue with the COO, CTO, and CEO — but you're expected to arrive with a thesis, not wait for one.
4–10 years across engineering and product, including time as a professional software engineer. You've shipped production code. We'll flex on tenure for someone who built something exceptional and has the results to prove it.
Payments / fintech infrastructure domain experience. Experience building new / novel products in the world of fintech, especially where tradfi meets blockchain.
AI-native builder. You use agentic tools daily — to prototype, analyze, and ship.
Opinionated and visionary. You form a thesis about where the product should go, defend it against the founders, and change your mind on evidence.
Customer-obsessed. Your instinct when uncertain is to go talk to five customers, not to schedule a meeting about it.
Built for ambiguity. You'll create and own our product processes and product ops — inside a regulated, high-stakes domain.
People we expect to thrive here come from places like Stripe, BVNK, Airwallex, Modern Treasury, Unit, Bridge, Lithic, Column, Increase, Wise, Nium, dLocal, Bitso, Circle, Coinbase, etc. — or founded fintech infrastructure companies themselves.

Each Product Lead owns one pod end to end. Full pod-specific role descriptions are available as separate docs; here's the high-level shape of each:
Onboarding & Platform Experience — Own the platform our customers use to build and operate fintech programs, serving three personas: the developer integrating our API, the compliance and operations teams running the program, and the end users being onboarded by our direct customers. End-to-end onboarding (KYB/KYC passthrough with granular statuses, in-platform RFIs, embeddable flows), transaction operations (holds, monitoring, documentation), program management (rates, fees, limits, configuration), and the developer console. North star: time from contract signature to first end-user transaction. Based in NYC.
USD & Stablecoin Account Infrastructure — Own the atom of the business: accounts, wallets, and balances. USD payins and payouts (ACH, Fedwire, and expanding rail coverage), stablecoin infrastructure across major blockchains, conversion and token routing between them, and the banking, stablecoin, and exchange partner layer — with redundancy as a product requirement. Measured on accounts, balances, and total payment volume. Based in NYC.
International Rails — Make international first-class. Local payin/payout rails and local-currency virtual accounts across ten currencies today (PIX, SPEI, Bre-B, CBU/CVU, SEPA, and more), the provider portfolio and its negotiation, and thesis-driven corridor bets: double down or kill. Measured on per-corridor volume, accounts, and unit economics. Requires deep LatAm payments experience and fluent Spanish. Based in the US or Latin America.
Card Acquiring — Zero to one. Launch card acquiring via partners as a new, permanent product line: pick the partners, define the product, get to first revenue, then scale total card volume across Mural accounts. Requires deep merchant acquiring / card payments experience. Based in NYC.
