We're looking for a Practitioner Engagement Programs Lead to help build our practitioner audience journey across global events and thought leadership programs. From flagship user conferences to developer programs and third-party events, you'll shape the cohesive narrative that drives our attendee experience across various touchpoints while building the repeatable systems to support and scale over time. As the connective tissue between the storytelling & strategy, you'll ensure our programs are built with a practitioner-first mindset.
This role sits at the intersection of marketing, developer relations, content strategy, and operational rigor.
What You'll Do
Strategy & Programming
- Drive Dynatrace strategy around developer events - identify which events and opportunities will help grow engagement
- Own end-to-end content strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, success metrics & audience needs
- Define themes, messaging frameworks, and programming strategies that support the practitioner experience
- Write and edit session descriptions, abstracts, speaker rationale documents & post-event recap content as needed
- Shape and sequence agendas, keynotes, breakouts, panels, workshops, and ancillary sessions in partnership with key stakeholders
- Produce event marketing content — email campaigns, landing pages, session descriptions — in partnership with broader marketing teams
- Leverage audience data, post-event feedback, session ratings, or NPS to continuously refine content strategy and programming effectiveness
- Sustain our practitioner narrative across programs
Operations & Project Management
- Own and manage content timelines to ensure all deliverables are completed on time
- Build and maintain repeatable systems, trackers, speaker databases & playbooks that drive operational rigor with room to scale
- Maintain process documentation for reviews, reference & version control
- Deliver clear status updates to leadership on progress, risks & open decisions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner across Product Management and Advocacy, Product Marketing, DevRel, Sales, Creative, and Events to ensure content strategy and decisions translate cleanly into our programs
- Collaborate with Customer Advocacy to identify and shape customer stories into compelling on-stage content
- 7+ years of experience in event content, programming, or content strategy roles, with direct ownership of flagship or high-visibility programs Demonstrated experience developing content for large-scale in-person events including themes, session design, speaker curation, and keynote production
- Strong storytelling instincts — able to distill complex technical ideas into compelling narratives
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with a sharp eye for creating easily digestible content
- Proven ability to manage speakers directly from outreach through rehearsal and day-of support
- Sharp project management skills with the ability to run multiple workstreams at once
- A process-first mindset: comfortable building trackers, playbooks, and documentation from scratch in a fast-moving environment
- Comfort operating cross-functionally with executives and external stakeholders under tight timelines and ambiguity
- Experience tracking and reporting on KPIs and other success metrics
Nice to Have
- Experience with developer, technical, or AI-focused audiences
- Familiarity with CFP (Call for Proposals) program management
- Experience with community event formats including meetups, hackathons, and roundtables

The targeted base pay range for this role is $148K to $185K. When determining your salary, we consider your skills, experience, education, work location and internal equity.
Skills Required
- 7+ years of experience in growth, lifecycle, or demand marketing
- Experience in product-led growth
- Ability to collaborate across marketing, product, and sales teams
- Demonstrated success driving measurable growth across acquisition, activation, adoption, and monetization
- Deep experience in experimentation, funnel optimization, and data-driven strategy
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- Experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams in cross-functional environments
