Job Summary

The Product Specialist position will drive the quality and experience we deliver through our product offerings. They will conduct the testing of new products and will conduct data gathering exercises on games which are stationed at our operators’ locations. The Product Specialist will collaborate with internal teams to improve on testing processes and work on initiatives to drive sales and improve on product quality. The Product Specialist will also work directly with the Support Technicians and our customers on the day to day tasks and challenges they cover. The Product Specialist will be trained to manage the successful planning and operations of trade shows. The position will be based at our North American office in Texas and will be reporting directly to the Senior Product Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation, follow up, and completion of operational duties set forth by the Product Operations Manager (Dallas), and Product Manager (Singapore).
  • Be the key contributor to and reference about new products for US Sales Marketing, Support and Supply chain
  • Be the key hands-on driver in the US office of continuous quality improvement in our product offerings
  • Track game performance through game testing and surveys onsite at operator facilities
  • Create reports and maintain records of all tests conducted, game performance, and initiatives to drive sales and improve on product quality
  • Act as a liaison to operators to ensure healthy relationships and ground operations as well as explore areas for new business development
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized working area in the warehouse
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of Operator Manuals. This includes but not limited to:
  • Ensuring assembly procedures are correct and complete
  • Taking necessary photos
  • Ensuring all documentation is identical to the game (menu settings, components, etc.)
  • Oversee the handoff of new products to the Technical Support Team. This includes but is not limited to:
  • New product hands-on training along with training documentation
  • Maintaining involvement in the product’s first 6 months of service to identify risks so that the Technical Support team can relay information to the Quality Manager
  • If issues are escalated to R&D, work with them to implement and test necessary changes
  • Oversee trade show equipment, preparation, and execution. This includes but is not limited to:
  • Planning: Contract labor, Installation/Dismantle, shipping schedule, Identifying risks
  • Machine prep work: Palletizing for safe shipment, installing hardware, etc.
  • Organizing and managing inventories of tools and materials
  • Creating and securing a list of necessary spare components specific to each show line-up
  • Working directly with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to fulfil all pre-show, show, and post-show handling of materials and information.

Required Skills and Experience

  • A very organized and detailed approach to all aspects of the job.
  • Passion for arcade games and the ability to understand its technical components
  • Outstanding communication and ability to maintain customer relationships and approach external communication in a manner positive to the LAI brand image
  • Ability to gather data and translate in organized reports
  • Ability to travel up to 30 -50% of the time to onsite locations- both local and regional; having a valid driver’s license is requirement of the role
  • Ability to work outside of normal hours will be required from time to time (visiting sites nights/weekends).
  • High school diploma/general education degree (GED) and/or at least 5 years industry experience with electronics and/or arcade games
