TEAM OVERVIEW - EMEA Real Assets Product Operations

KKR's EMEA Real Assets platform includes Real Estate and Infrastructure strategies operating through complex, multi-jurisdictional investment, holding and portfolio company structures. The EMEA Product Operations team acts as an accountable operational quarterback across the transaction lifecycle - from pipeline visibility and acquisition support through close, ongoing key events, capital calls, distributions, refinancing and restructurings, governance and exit readiness.

The team provides a bridge between investment professionals and the specialist functions required to execute, including Portfolio Management, Finance and Business Operations, Tax, Treasury, Controllership, Legal, Compliance, Valuations, SPV management teams, fund administrators, portfolio companies and external advisers.

POSITION OVERVIEW

KKR is seeking a Associate with experience in Transfer Pricing, Tax Advisory or FDD to join the EMEA Real Assets Product Operations team. The role will support both Real Estate and Infrastructure.

This is primarily an operations, execution and project management role rather than a traditional finance role. The successful candidate will establish ownership, timelines and accountability across complex workstreams; coordinate internal and external stakeholders; identify and resolve issues; and ensure that transactions and recurring processes are delivered consistently and efficiently.

We are looking for an individual with at least three to six years of Big Four experience who holds a recognised professional qualification, such as ACA, FCA, ACCA, CIMA, CTA or an equivalent. Relevant backgrounds may include audit, tax, transaction services, transfer pricing, consulting or other advisory disciplines. The role is therefore open to candidates from a range of Big Four backgrounds who can demonstrate strong judgement, project management capability and a clear interest in moving into a broad operational role within alternative investments.

THE ROLE
  • Act as an operational quarterback for EMEA Real Estate and Infrastructure investments, maintaining visibility and ownership from pipeline and transaction planning through close, key events, distributions and exit.
  • Join pipeline and live transaction discussions early, establish the operating plan and critical path, and mobilise the relevant internal and external teams before execution becomes time-critical.
  • Support the assessment, design and implementation of investment and holding structures, including transaction perimeters, funds flows, capital calls, tax and financial sign-offs, governance steps and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate financial, tax and other due diligence workstreams with Big Four and other advisers; review outputs, identify material issues and ensure that actions are clearly allocated and resolved.
  • Drive transaction implementation by sequencing Portfolio Management, Tax, Treasury, Controllership, Legal, Compliance, Finance, SPV management teams, fund administrators, portfolio companies and external advisers.
  • Own or support recurring key events, including capital calls, reinvestments, refinancing, restructurings, distributions, liquidity movements and exit processes.
  • Quarterback cash distributions from local deal structures to the relevant fund or aggregator: open the process in advance, coordinate the intake and funds flow information, run workstreams in parallel and drive documentation, approvals, validations and execution.
  • Maintain a single source of truth for status, timing, dependencies and decisions, providing concise updates to deal teams and escalating blockers early.
  • Coordinate local legal documentation, board materials and meetings required for capital activity and other key events, with the objective of having governance steps prepared promptly following a cash-generating event.
  • Support selected holding company board mandates and wider governance activity, including meeting preparation, attendance, issue escalation and board member training where appropriate.
  • Act as an information bridge across investment teams, Portfolio Management, Finance and Business Operations, Tax, SPV management, Valuations, portfolio companies and fund-level teams.
  • On-board and coordinate administrators, accountants, tax advisers and other service providers; monitor service quality, challenge delivery and identify opportunities for consistency and procurement efficiency.
  • Support exit readiness by assessing transaction perimeters, coordinating preparatory diligence, resolving historic or operational risks and preparing portfolio companies and holding structures for execution.
  • Lead process improvement and new-function implementation projects, including workflow redesign, standardisation, management information, technology enablement and appropriate automation of recurring processes.
  • Participate in new fund launches and other ad hoc strategic or operational projects, working closely with Legal, Compliance and wider KKR teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • ~5+ years of experience within a Big Four firm in audit, tax, transfer pricing, transaction services, consulting, deals or another relevant advisory discipline.
  • Demonstrable interest in moving into an operations-focused role with broad responsibility across the transaction lifecycle, rather than a narrowly defined finance, accounting or tax role.
  • A recognised professional qualification, such as ACA, FCA, ACCA, CIMA, CTA or an equivalent.
  • Experience of complex project management involving multiple stakeholders, jurisdictions, advisers and interdependent deadlines.
  • Strong financial and commercial literacy, with the ability to understand investment structures, funds flows, liquidity, governance requirements and the implications of accounting, tax and due diligence outputs.
  • Exposure to private markets, real assets, Infrastructure, Real Estate, fund structures, transactions or portfolio company environments is advantageous.
  • Excellent issue-spotting, problem-solving and judgement, with the confidence to challenge constructively and escalate matters at the appropriate time.
  • Clear and concise communication, strong stakeholder management and an appreciation of the importance of timely, accurate status reporting.
  • Ability to work autonomously, take ownership and operate as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • High attention to detail, absolute discretion and professionalism.
