We are looking for a Product Owner to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our WhatsApp Business API product offering. You will work at the intersection of business, technology, and user experience to build scalable messaging solutions that enable businesses to connect with their customers effectively through WhatsApp.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the WhatsApp API product lifecycle – from ideation to development to launch.
- Translate business requirements into well-defined product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with engineering, UX/UI, marketing, and sales teams to define product goals and deliverables.
- Manage relationships with Meta (WhatsApp) and ensure alignment with their technical and compliance guidelines.
- Define KPIs and success metrics for product performance and iterate based on feedback.
- Monitor competitive landscape and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvements and differentiation.
- Ensure the platform meets legal, regulatory, and data privacy standards (e.g., GDPR, WhatsApp commerce policies).
- Stay informed about WhatsApp Business API updates, new features, and integration best practices.
Requirements
- 2-3 years experience in product management in API-based platforms (WAB API) or messaging products is MUST.
- Strong understanding of WhatsApp Business API ecosystem and its use cases.
- Experience working with cross-functional agile teams.
- Technical acumen – able to understand API documentation, data flows, and basic architectural concepts.
- Excellent communication skills – able to translate complex concepts into clear business value.
- Proven track record of delivering products from concept to launch.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in CPaaS, SaaS, or digital customer engagement platforms.
- Familiarity with messaging channels like SMS, RCS, Messenger, and Viber.
- Experience with compliance and policy management related to Meta platforms.
- Background in B2B or B2B2C product environments.
