About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Product Owner to lead HubSync Workflow, our engagement management platform for tax compliance. Workflow consolidates returns, extensions, quality control review, assembly, and e-file transmission into a single, role-aware queue, replacing spreadsheets, email threads, and legacy practice management tools firms rely on today. It is also becoming the orchestration layer of the HubSync platform: the system that knows where every engagement stands and drives the next step across every other module. You will own the product vision and roadmap while also managing the backlog, leading sprints, and ensuring the platform accurately models the way tax engagements actually run. This is a build-and-strengthen role live with anchor firms and delivering actively, with meaningful groundwork still to lay.
Responsibilities
Own the product vision and roadmap for the Workflow module across Tax, CAS, and A&A service lines.
Manage the complex, initial due date integration with OneSource, handling partner escalations and ensuring successful delivery.
Define the product strategy and requirements for transitioning from legacy integrations to AI screen-scraping technologies.
Translate complex accounting procedures (specifically within Audit/A&A) into streamlined, repeatable software workflows.
Manage and prioritize a capability-based product backlog to ensure alignment with diverse service line requirements.
Collaborate closely with product leadership to complement existing Tax/CAS expertise with robust Audit/A&A process knowledge.
Lead agile sprints, ensuring scope is locked, requirements are clear, and the development team understands the business context.
About You
You have hands-on experience working within or building software for an accounting firm, with a strong preference for candidates with Audit & Assurance (A&A) expertise.
You are highly process-oriented and excel at breaking down complex, multi-step professional services into clear software workflows.
You are comfortable managing complex initial third-party integrations (like OneSource) and can strategically plan the migration to modern alternatives (like AI data extraction).
You understand the distinct needs and cadences of Tax, CAS, and A&A engagements.
You possess strong stakeholder management skills and can navigate technical escalations with enterprise partners.
You have a proven track record of managing standard agile product management tooling (e.g., Jira) and maintaining strict sprint discipline.

Skills Required
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a B2B SaaS platform environment
- Hands-on experience running tax compliance engagements within a CPA firm before transitioning into product management
- Deep knowledge of tax compliance workflows, due dates, extension filing, and review and sign-off cycles
- Experience enforcing strict sprint discipline and organizing capability-based backlogs in Jira
- Ability to translate complex, unstructured business processes into defined, scalable platform features
- Exceptional communication skills to bridge domain experts and software engineering teams
