Do you enjoy turning complex technology challenges into reliable services that deliver real business value? At EDF, Success is Personal, and this is your opportunity to drive innovation while building a career that's unique to you.

The Opportunity

As a Product Owner – IP Networks, you'll play a key role in defining and delivering the network connectivity services that support our business operations. Working across agile teams and stakeholders, you'll set product direction, prioritise valuable outcomes, and help ensure our communications platforms remain secure, reliable, and fit for the future.

You’ll join us on a competitive starting salary, with the potential for an annual bonus. This is a flexible hybrid role, with occasional travel to EDF UK sites and attendance at our #Gloucester office around once per month. You'll enjoy the freedom to balance home and office working while staying connected with colleagues and stakeholders.

You'll help deliver technology solutions that support EDF's journey towards An Electric Britain. From shaping product roadmaps and managing backlogs to working closely with engineering teams, you'll influence how critical communications services evolve while developing your expertise in a collaborative, agile environment.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a Product Owner who is an expert in network technologies and has an in-depth knowledge of LAN, WAN and wireless. This role would be a good fit for someone who has previously worked as a networks architect or networks engineer, installation engineer or networks designer. To be shortlisted, you need to offer…

  • In depth knowledge of (primarily Cisco) LAN, Wireless networking, WAN and SD-WAN with a preference for Palo Alto, technologies, topologies and architecture.
  • In depth knowledge of IP networking protocols
  • Knowledge and experience of Network security products and implementation
  • A balance between technical and business acumen. A track record of delivering Software, Platform or Infrastructure as-a-Service solutions in energy, utilities or similar sector.
  • Experience of launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, Agile and SAFe principles;
  • Understanding of the evolving compliance and regulatory requirements and environment and how to incorporate technology, infrastructure and security requirements into the product design;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
  • Certified in Cisco infrastructure or proven industry experience

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Clearance (SC), which will, ordinarily, require you to have British residency for the last five years.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Building and maintaining the product roadmap for IP network services
  • Assuring (design and delivery) the service provision pre and post implementation from EDF’s outsource partner
  • Managing and prioritising product backlogs, user stories, and sprint objectives
  • Working with agile teams, architects, service leads, and stakeholders to deliver customer value
  • Identifying improvements, managing dependencies, and driving continuous product enhancement
  • Measuring product performance and supporting successful delivery of features and capabilities

Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside a competitive starting salary, potential for an annual bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.
