Product Marketing Manager, Vertical Markets – VAST AI Operating System

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Product Marketing Manager to drive go-to-market initiatives for the VAST AI Operating System, focused specifically on key industry verticals. Your primary objective is to position the VAST AI Operating System as the ideal solution for enterprises within these verticals, tailoring value propositions to their unique challenges, use cases, and AI adoption journeys.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Vertical Marketing Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute strategic go-to-market plans for the VAST AI Operating System tailored to specific industry verticals (e.g., Financial Services, Healthcare,Life Sciences, Public Sector, Manufacturing).
  • Craft compelling, differentiated messaging and positioning for the VAST AI Operating System that resonates with buyers and influencers within target verticals, addressing their specific pain points and business objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, threats, opportunities, and specific AI use cases for the VAST AI Operating System within key verticals.

Vertical Value Proposition & Technical Evangelism

  • Translate complex technical features of the VAST AI Operating System into clear benefits and tangible business outcomes for specific vertical use cases (e.g., fraud detection in financial services, diagnostic imaging in healthcare, genomic research in life sciences).
  • Serve as an expert resource on how the VAST AI Operating System addresses the unique architectural, data management, and AI operationalization challenges within target verticals, including industry-specific compliance and security requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering to influence product roadmap and direction based on vertical-specific customer requirements and market insights.

Sales Enablement & Customer Engagement for Verticals

  • Create high-impact, vertical-specific sales tools, presentations, solution architectures, product demonstrations, webinars, and training materials that effectively communicate technical and business advantages.
  • Support sales teams with strategic responses for vertical-focused RFPs and detailed technical inquiries related to industry-specific AI deployments.
  • Engage regularly with enterprise customers and key opinion leaders within target verticals to capture insights, validate solution positioning, and foster advocacy.

Vertical Content Development & Thought Leadership

  • Produce influential content including whitepapers, case studies, solution briefs, blogs, and webinars tailored to specific vertical audiences and their unique challenges and regulatory landscapes.
  • Partner with demand generation teams to design and execute targeted marketing campaigns driving awareness, leads, and adoption of the VAST AI Operating System within specific industry verticals.
  • Represent VAST Data as a thought leader in applying AI and data infrastructure solutions to specific industry verticals at industry events, panels, webinars, and through editorial contributions.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of proven experience in product or solution marketing, ideally with a focus on specific industry verticals or enterprise software/infrastructure solutions.
  • Deep understanding of the business drivers, challenges, key use cases, and technology ecosystems within one or more target industry verticals (e.g., Financial Services, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Public Sector, Manufacturing).
  • Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure architectures, AI/ML data pipelines, MLOps, virtualization, containers, and file/object storage solutions, and their application within vertical context.
  • Strong expertise in aligning complex technical solutions with business-driven objectives and outcomes within target verticals.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with proven ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences within specific industries.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing impactful marketing strategies and campaigns tailored to vertical markets or enterprise software.
  • Highly collaborative with a proactive approach to managing cross-functional projects.
  • Willingness to travel for customer engagements, industry events, and internal meetings.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of vertical-specific compliance frameworks and security standards (e.g., HIPAA for Healthcare, FINRA for Financial Services, GDPR).
  • Direct experience marketing to, or working within, one or more of VAST’s target industry verticals.
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup environments or rapidly scaling
