Marketing at TRACTIAN

The Marketing team at Tractian crafts the narrative, defines messaging and positioning, and translates our groundbreaking products and features into tangible customer benefits. Our cross-functional team, spanning Product Marketing, Customer Experience, Demand Generation, Branding, and Field Marketing, is dedicated to acquiring new customers and possesses a deep understanding of the business. We collaborate closely with many teams to show how we can help our clients reach their full potential.

What you'll do

As a Product Marketing Manager, your mission is to accelerate product usage and adoption by connecting customer insights, data analysis, and scalable enablement strategies. Beyond ensuring customers fully adopt Tractian technology, you will act as a critical evaluator of product launches and competitive activity. This involves measuring the adoption, sales impact, and market fit of features, while also holding Marketing, Sales, and Product Development accountable with clear, data-driven insights.

This role requires someone with an analytical and research-driven mindset who thrives on asking the right questions, challenging assumptions, and ensuring that both our product and go-to-market efforts deliver measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze product usage data (PostHog, Amplitude, Heap, etc.) to identify friction points, adoption drivers, and opportunities for deeper engagement.
  • Evaluate the success of product launches, highlighting where adoption or sales fell short and proposing next steps.
  • Run customer research initiatives (interviews, surveys, journey mapping) to validate assumptions and uncover adoption barriers.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to translate behavioral data and customer feedback into adoption strategies and product improvements.
  • Build scalable adoption frameworks (in-app guidance, lifecycle campaigns, knowledge base content) that reduce reliance on 1:1 interventions.
  • Create data-backed enablement materials for Sales and CS, ensuring they can guide customers effectively through onboarding and expansion.
  • Ensure that customer insights inform both the product roadmap and go-to-market communication.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical background with proven experience using product analytics tools (PostHog, Amplitude, Heap, Mixpanel).
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, ideally in roles focused on product adoption, growth, or customer lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute customer research initiatives.
  • Proven skills in synthesizing complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.
  • Ability to scale adoption and education initiatives with automation and content.
  • Cross-functional collaborator, comfortable working with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and CS teams.

Bonus Points

  • Background in predictive maintenance, IoT, or industrial technologies.
  • Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and A/B testing.
  • Experience in product-led growth (PLG) environments.
  • Comfortable presenting insights to leadership and diverse audiences.

What We Do

Tractian is a machine intelligence company that offers industrial monitoring systems. Tractian builds streamlined hardware-software solutions to give maintenance technicians and industrial decision-makers comprehensive oversight of their operations. It is democratizing access to sophisticated real-time monitoring and asset operations tools.

Tractian's solutions are used in environments that address a combined total of 5% of global industrial output. The company’s broad market reach is evidenced in its customer base from various industries, such as John Deere, Procter & Gamble, Caterpillar, Goodyear, Carrier, Johnson Controls, and Bimbo, the owner of the brands Little Bites and Thomas Bagels. Tractian's customers see a 6-12x ROI with savings of $6,000 per monitored machine annually on average.

In a major milestone and a first for the industry, Tractian launched the AI-Assisted Maintenance category in the industrial sector. In this new paradigm, artificial intelligence identifies machine problems and suggests preventive actions to be taken, giving invaluable insight and support to maintenance professionals. It is important to highlight that the intent of Assisted Maintenance is firmly rooted in augmenting maintenance professionals to provide more assertive diagnosis with human-in-the-loop feedback.

Tractian's mission is to elevate this category of workers in a highly impactful way. The Assisted Maintenance category will provide unimaginable support for maintenance professionals. By combining shop floor expertise with our technology, maintainers will be able to anticipate and address issues with unprecedented accuracy and speed
