Product Marketing Analyst shall assist the Product Marketing Manager in leading the development of competitive and appealing product positioning and producing or reviewing the content of product marketing and communication materials, both for internal and external distribution. He / She shall coordinate activities with internal departments, prepare standard product-related reports as may be assigned.

In addition, the Analyst will also assist in managing the delivery of all product marketing requirements in the product plan and strategy within timelines and ensuring that all activities by all functions involved with products are effectively managed throughout the process. He / She will also assist in contributing to competitive research on products that would support new product designs, enhancements or any modifications for Sun Life operations in the Philippines.

  • Minimum 1 year of prior working experience (insurance or non-insurance related industry), preferably with a balance of both marketing and technical experience.

1) Product Marketing - Positioning and Communications

Assist the Product Marketing Manager in overseeing the launch and marketing of products to all distribution channels and clients and will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Assist in developing marketing plans and promotion activities for new products launches as well as develop other product-related initiatives and campaigns
  • Assist in writing / copywriting of product collaterals and creative writing of product advertorials
  • Close coordination with Marketing, Sales, Operations, and other stakeholders in managing product-based activities and promos including development and review of sales tools, content of social media materials, memos and other product materials intended for awareness of both internal and external clients
  • Assist in conducting new and existing product rollouts and awareness campaigns.
  • Participate in the UAT of the Proposal Systems and monitoring of digital media platforms in terms of the content, look and design in accordance to the approved Business Requirements
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly Fund Performance Reports (i.e. VUL Fund Fact Sheets) used by clients and advisors

2) Product Development/Management and Research

The Analyst will also provide assistance in managing the product development activities and in executing product research. He / She may be tapped to handle responsibilities such as:

  • Act as one of the organizers of the regular Product Development Group meetings as well as other adhoc meetings and prepare the minutes of the meeting.
  • Provide updates on weekly status of the due and upcoming activities identified in the product implementation plan.  
  • Monitor the product-related deliverables and help ensure the completeness of the sign-off of product materials within the agreed timeline.
  • Contribute to regular management reports, competitor analysis and monthly industry updates by gathering competitor information (i.e. proposals, product collaterals, etc.) and latest news / trends in the market

3) Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the immediate superiors.
