What You’ll Be Doing:
Senior Product Manager at Evolent will develop and communicate a clear vision for the product that aligns with the company's strategic goals and market needs, keeping in mind the broader strategy for the product. This individual will be highly proactive, engaging, and dedicated to creating impactful solutions that enhance healthcare delivery and stay abreast of the latest advances in healthcare AI products to ensure the roadmap stays innovative.
Collaboration Opportunities:
This position will play a critical role in interacting with engineering and clinical teams, healthcare payer executives, managers, and frontline staff users, driving the vision for our product with customers. Collaborating with external customers and internal stakeholders across various functional lines, demonstrating the passion for leveraging AI to improve efficiency within the healthcare sector
What You Will Be Doing:
- Act as the main liaison between external customers, users, and internal teams to gather and document requirements for integrations and feature-related work.
- Create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the engineering team works on the most impactful items.
- Develop and communicate a clear vision for the product that aligns with the company's strategic goals and market needs. Stay abreast of the latest advances in healthcare AI products to ensure the roadmap stays innovative.
- Lead the product prioritization process, balancing the needs of various stakeholders to determine the most critical tasks.
- Oversee the identification, documentation, and prioritization of bugs, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Provide direction and oversee internal teams in their configuration of the product to ensure product functions as intended and stakeholder value is delivered.
- Effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders, managing expectations and aligning interests.
- Interact regularly with customers and users to gather feedback and set iteration roadmap with the engineering team and operations teams
- Work closely with engineering to ensure that products meet quality standards and customer expectations. Step into QA features and fill in gaps when needed.
- Operate autonomously, making informed decisions and managing priorities without constant supervision.
- Be highly proactive and engaging, fostering a collaborative and enthusiastic environment.
Qualifications Required and Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Consulting, or a related field. Advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Product or Program Manager or similar role within a software development environment in a healthcare or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in requirements gathering from internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong background in agile methodologies and frameworks and closely managing an engineering team's work.
- Proactive attitude towards strategic planning & vision creation for the overall roadmap and product by learning about the industry and talking to customers, and excellent communication and analytical skills, capable of interacting with all levels of the organization.
- Product configuration and supporting internal users who are utilizing the product. Demonstrated passion for leveraging AI to improve efficiency within the healthcare sector.
- Proficiency in project management and ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
- Basic technical fluency in API backends, C++, Java, Scala, React.js, or another JavaScript-based UI framework is preferred.
Technical Requirements:
We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $130,000 - $140,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
