About Us:

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Divcon delivers fully integrated automation solutions nationwide that optimize performance, energy efficiency, and reliability across HVAC, lighting, power monitoring, and mission-critical systems. Leveraging advanced technologies - including Allen-Bradley PLCs, Ignition SCADA, and Delta DDC systems - we combine deep technical expertise with field-tested execution to deliver precise, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

About the role:

The Product Manager is responsible for driving execution of Divcon's product roadmap and product initiatives, translating customer and business needs into clear requirements, and coordinating cross-functional teams to move work from concept through development, launch, and ongoing improvement. This role focuses on disciplined product execution, stakeholder alignment, project governance, and delivery coordination rather than ownership of overall product strategy development.

This role requires an experienced product management professional with strong communication skills, technical aptitude, systems thinking, and the ability to build consensus across engineering, product development, sales, marketing, operations, and leadership. While deep controls expertise is not required, the Product Manager must be comfortable working with physical or engineered products and turning technical, customer, and commercial inputs into actionable plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute product roadmap initiatives aligned with business priorities, customer needs, and leadership direction.
  • Translate product strategy, customer input, sales feedback, and technical considerations into clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, project plans, and development priorities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution with engineering, product development, sales, marketing, operations, procurement, project management, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering, client and stakeholder engagement, prioritization discussions, and decision-making forums to maintain alignment and momentum.
  • Maintain product initiative plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, and status updates to support governance and accountability.
  • Manage prioritization of features, enhancements, and product changes based on customer impact, business value, technical feasibility, operational readiness, and resource constraints.
  • Partner with technology and engineering leaders to confirm requirements are technically feasible and aligned with product architecture, design dependencies, and implementation plans.
  • Serve as a central coordination point across teams to resolve blockers, clarify tradeoffs, escalate risks, and keep product initiatives on track.
  • Support business cases and product recommendations by gathering customer insights, market inputs, cost and benefit information, implementation requirements, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Coordinate product launch readiness with sales, marketing, operations, customer support, training, and other functions to support successful rollout and adoption.
  • Track product performance, customer feedback, adoption trends, issue patterns, and delivery metrics; recommend improvements based on data and stakeholder input.
  • Maintain product documentation, roadmap status, requirements artifacts, meeting decisions, governance materials, and product process documentation

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of product management, product development, product operations, project execution, or related experience, ideally within a physical product, engineered product, industrial technology, building systems, controls, manufacturing, or engineered-to-order environment.
  • Demonstrated strength in product discipline, including requirements gathering, customer/client engagement, prioritization, governance, roadmap execution, and project management.
  • Strong technical aptitude and systems-thinking capability; able to understand complex technical concepts, evaluate dependencies, and partner effectively with engineering and technology teams without requiring deep controls expertise.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to translate technical, commercial, and customer information for different audiences.
  • Proven ability to build consensus, influence without direct authority, and align cross-functional stakeholders around priorities, tradeoffs, timelines, and decisions.
  • Experience translating customer needs, sales feedback, and stakeholder input into product requirements, acceptance criteria, launch plans, and delivery priorities.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, including the ability to manage timelines, dependencies, action items, risks, and follow-through across multiple workstreams.
  • Strong analytical and business judgment with the ability to evaluate customer impact, business value, resource constraints, implementation tradeoffs, and product performance data.
  • Familiarity with product management tools, frameworks, or methodologies; specific philosophy or toolset is less important than disciplined execution and consistent governance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Product Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
