The Product Manager is an individual contributor, a subject matter expert, working independently with minimal supervision. Serves as the subject matter expert on Product Management strategy and provides advanced insights into market performance and product trends. Acts as a thought leader on product development and drives data driven solutions for stakeholders and customers. Leverages analytics and reporting to develop go-to-market strategies for new products. Product manager is responsible for daily Product Management operations under minimal supervision. Executes the Product Management strategy and employs a customer-centric approach that incorporates the latest innovations in research and development. Creates presentations and reports that highlight key performance indicators and reflect the complexities of the market. Incorporates industry best practices into recurring Product Management processes. Utilizes predictive analytical tools to forecast product performance in the market and recommend product enhancements. In this role you will also lead the cross functional brand and TA teams, collaborating with the Medical Affairs, Market Access, ΒΙ functions and other sales and marketing teams to search for new opportunities through systematic assessment of market trends, unmet customer needs and competitive activity. Product Manager develops, leads, and ensures execution of business plans to meet future needs and expectations. Responsibilities include development of short-term tactical sales and Brand/Product Management marketing plans, and contributes to longer-term tactical plans. Ensures brand integrity by leading efforts across multiple functions and channels. Implements tactical plan by providing appropriate promotional materials. Works across all elements of the marketing mix and uses appropriate channels of communication. Monitors and controls budget to access promotional effectiveness. Works productively with external agencies and cross functional groups within the organization. Ensures completion of market analysis and monitors competitive activity. Develops new concepts and products; portfolio management and prioritization of new opportunities through financial modeling and gap analysis. Builds strong network with key opinion leaders and monitors industry developments impacting business. Develops innovative marketing programs based on brand/product strategies and implements through staff.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Develops commercial tactics and messages plans to drive optimal launch and best brand positioning at local level, aligned with the EMEA brand strategy and product positioning
Lead the cross functional brand/TA teams
Is responsible for monitoring the brand performance at local level and providing standard KPIs and metrics in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders
Leads the implementation of the segmentation, targeting, channel and marketing mix strategy, taking into consideration customer needs, and ensuring that relevant customer information is entered and maintained in iConnect and other relevant tools
Analyzes market research – planning, insights and execution,
Business planning - updates, forecasting, product sheets, marketing mix analysis, strategic planning.
To develop and monitor products budget. Ensures expenses stay within budget understanding the impact on the product contribution statement.
To develop partnerships with the medical societies, opinion leaders to deliver on key projects. Leverages own network of KOLs and key stakeholders to build and monitor company/ brand loyalty.
Ensure HCC and legal requirements (Fair Market Value, Transfer of Value rules, Promotional Materials rules) are fully understood, appropriately managed and complied with when planning projects, developing materials, executing projects and contracting vendors
Maintain in the highest standards of ethics, quality, compliance and accountability: compulsory training must be completed on time, she/he should act in accordance with the Quality & Compliance Core Objective, and help others do the same when there is an opportunity.
Requirements (knowledge, education, skills):
• University degree in a relevant field, life sciences, business
• 5+ years experience in brand / Theapeutic area management within pharmaceutical business
• Experience in orchestrating cross-functional teams in a competitive environment
• Knowledge of particular TA portfolio will be additional asset
• High level of project management
• Leadership, Empathy, Open communication
• Strategic thinking and understanding of the self-contribution to the overall business success at the local and regional level
• Persistence in the face of obstacles or challenges
• High level of ethical standards in business
