You will be responsible for global Thickening product profitability over the entire life cycle with primary responsibility for Capital OI / Revenue / CM and secondary responsibility for Service OI/CM.

Job responsibilities

  • Primarily, to support all proposal support tasks (including detailed involvement in estimate compilation/review and proposal formulation/review) for submission to Capital Sales lead, for assigned opportunities being pursued by Capital Sales globally.
  • Global sales support for specified products.
  • Assist in refining or modifying standard sizing techniques for company specific products.
  • Transfer and training of product info.
  • Help build a culture of innovation and continuous product improvement as deemed appropriate to advance the sale of the products.
  • Product Champion for all Thickening Product line products.
  • Suggest potential 'R&D' projects that can be internally engineered and brought to market in a short turnaround time.
  • Assist in product development as appropriate.
  • Assist in developing/refreshing sales aids such as brochures, technical data and catalogs.
  • Interpret testwork work information (both internal & external) to ensure suitability of proposed solution, and formulate suitable performance guarantees so as to limit potential exposure (commercial or otherwise)
  • Evaluate proposal risks in areas of technical or other concerns, warranty, terms and conditions, delivery and product configuration, as well as evaluating the potential to maintain 'As-Sold' product margin considering these.
  • Provide field sales support in such activities as specification review, customer presentations, product application &sizing and potential site troubleshooting.
  • Track information such as reference installations, key prospects, competitor analysis, etc. and other activities to monitor competitiveness of product line.

What you bring

  • B.S. degree in one of the engineering disciplines preferred. Five to ten years (5-10) experience related to product line or process equipment.
  • Interpret RFQ documents, specifications and drawings.  Knowledge of marketing, bidding and pricing techniques and commercial terms & conditions.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing, on a technical level, and make formal presentations.  Must be proficient with personal computer, using company-standard software.
  • Demonstrate leadership, organizational, interpersonal and customer-relations skills.  Requires skills in planning, budgeting and forecasting.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • Five to ten years of experience related to product line or process equipment
