What you will do
Selection Navigator Functional Lead (Product Manager)/ defines delivery objectives, prioritizes features, and ensures the design solution that meets customer and business needs. This role partners with global cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to maximize value and drive continuous improvement.
How you will do it
Act as the business liaison between domain business owners, sellers and the IT delivery team — capture what the business wants to enable on Selection Navigator and make sure delivery meets that intent.
Engage directly with sellers, inside/post-sales teams, branches and product business owners to gather requirements for new products and capabilities being onboarded to the platform.
Translate business initiatives into well-defined features with clear requirements, outcomes, acceptance expectations, and benefits.
Document business processes, validate requirements and support team alignment across product, engineering and business stakeholders.
Define delivery objectives and prioritize the feature backlog to maximize business value.
Coordinate work across multiple teams and manage cross-team and cross-system dependencies.
Communicate progress, status and risks to business stakeholders and IT leadership.
Review UX designs for alignment with requirements and user experience standards.
Support Product Owners and developers through refinement, sprint execution, demos and release readiness.
Participate in SAFe ceremonies — PI planning, backlog refinement, system demos and portfolio syncs.
Operate effectively across time zones within a global team (the product management in the U.S., product owners and engineering in India) serving global customer
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
8+ years of experience, with strong working knowledge of Agile and SAFe principles.
Proven ability to translate business and seller needs into actionable requirements and features.
Working understanding of a JCI product domain — fire detection, controls, HVAC equipment or aftermarket parts.
Excellent communication and coordination across business and technical teams.
Ability to manage complex, globally distributed initiatives and dependencies.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience with product configuration, selection, estimating or CPQ platforms.
Familiarity with HVAC, Fire Detection, Building Automation/Controls, or related industries.
Prior experience in sales, inside sales, post-sales, or a GCOE/engineering support function where JCI products were configured or quoted.
Experience applying AI to selection, estimating or sales-productivity workflows.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced global environment.
