What is Cobre, and what do we do?

Cobre is Latin America’s leading instant b2b payments platform. We solve the region’s most complex money movement challenges by building advanced financial infrastructure that enables companies to move money faster, safer, and more efficiently.

We enable instant business payments—local or international, direct or via API—all from a single platform.

Built for fintechs, PSPs, banks, and finance teams that demand speed, control, and efficiency. From real-time payments to automated treasury, we turn complex financial processes into simple experiences.

Cobre is the first platform in Colombia to enable companies to pay both banked and unbanked beneficiaries within the same payment cycle and through a single interface.

We are building the enterprise payments infrastructure of Latin America!

What we are looking for:

We're looking for a Product Manager to own the Liquidity Management Product—the team building Cobre's Liquidity Intelligence Platform, a real-time system that tells the business exactly how much cash it has, where, and what to do about it.

This isn't a traditional PM role where you write specs and hand them off. You'll define product strategy, own the roadmap, get close enough to the quantitative model behind the flagship engine to challenge it, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers and data scientists to ship.

The squad operates with a clear philosophy: build the industry's leading-edge real-time liquidity management system—one that enables exponential scaling of payment volumes through industry-leading liquidity efficiency, starting with a real-time monitoring and decisioning engine and building toward autonomous execution.

What You'll Own:

Liquidity Intelligence & Forecasting

The flagship. You'll own building a continuous, real-time monitoring and decisioning engine that watches every account and rail, forecasts cash coming in and going out, and recommends funding moves ahead of need—weighing cost and risk to find the most efficient option.

Impact: This is the platform's flagship differentiator—real-time, network-driven liquidity management built to scale with Cobre's payment volumes and set the industry benchmark for liquidity efficiency.

Cash Visibility & Execution Infrastructure

One live view of Cobre's entire cash position—fiat (COP, MXN, USD) and stablecoins (USDT/USDC) together, across every bank and rail—feeding both internal executive decision-making and autonomous liquidity positioning. You'll build the system for every balance flowing into the bank account inventory and signatory tracking as the account universe grows, expanding direct API coverage across banking partners.

Impact: Real-time, trustworthy cash data is the foundation the forecasting and decisioning engine runs on—this is what makes the rest of the platform possible.

Liquidity Risk, FX Exposure & Governance

As the platform matures, you'll own visibility into Cobre's FX exposure by currency and legal entity, hedge coverage, and the true cost of moving money through each currency corridor; detecting trapped cash sitting idle in low-velocity pools and accounts; scenario planning that stress-tests the liquidity plan against demand spikes and manual what-if decisions; and the audit trail and override logging that makes the engine's recommendations explainable as it takes on more autonomy.

Impact: This is what lets Cobre scale liquidity management without scaling headcount linearly, and trust the system enough to let it act on its own.

What would you be doing:

  • Lead a product squad — engineers and data scientists partnering closely with Treasury Ops; you're the PM driving what gets built and why.
  • Define and ship — own the full cycle from problem discovery to production. Interview Treasury, Finance, and BD stakeholders, make build-vs-buy calls on treasury management tooling, and define the metrics that prove the system works.
  • Build with an AI-native mindset — use AI tools to prototype, model, and test ideas yourself—mocking up flows, validating decision logic, or querying data—before engineering commits to building it. You provide working proofs of concept, not just requirements docs, and you expect the same builder instinct from your squad.
  • Balance phases and priorities — foundation and the flagship differentiator come first, then execution depth, then risk and governance, then autonomous execution. Prioritize ruthlessly based on what most reduces risk to our customer’s experience with our real-time payments product.
  • Partner across the org — work closely with Treasury/Revenue Operations, Data & Decision Science, Engineering, Finance, and Sales, plus external counterparts like lenders and banking partners. Translate treasury and covenant requirements into product features.
  • Stay close to the data — be comfortable in tools and systems the team builds in, understand the data and decisioning models well enough to sanity-check them, and translate DDS's work into product and business impact.

What do you need:

3+ years in fintech/payments/banking product management, treasury or liquidity risk, data science, or engineering

  • Experience with treasury management, cash forecasting, liquidity risk, or payments infrastructure
  • Comfortable with quantitative and optimization concepts (forecasting models, decision/optimization models) even without building them yourself
  • Ship systems end-to-end with real financial exposure (NSF, overdraft, FX risk)
  • Strong analytical foundation—comfortable with data, metrics, and evidence-based decisions

Product & Technical Acumen

  • Ability to translate quantitative models into clear product requirements and user-facing tools
  • Comfortable with data pipelines, system-of-record design, and real-time systems
  • Comfortable reading technical architecture diagrams and engaging in system design discussions with engineers and data scientists
  • Exceptional written communication—crisp, actionable product specs
  • Comfort with ambiguity—you'll define the roadmap, not just execute a fixed one

Stakeholder Management

  • Experience working with Treasury, Finance, or banking/lending partners where numbers and covenants are non-negotiable
  • Track record of building trust across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to facilitate tough conversations and navigate competing priorities
  • Bias toward action—ship a working V1, then iterate, rather than over-planning

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Snowflake, and AI tools for analysis and prototyping
  • Background in treasury management systems or cash forecasting
  • Understanding of optimization techniques (e.g. linear programming) and Graph theory
  • Exposure to stablecoins or crypto rails (USDT/USDC, Ethereum, Tron, Solana)
  • Experience with banking API integrations, corridor economics, or FX products
  • Previous startup or scale-up experience (Series A/B stage)

Skills Required

  • 3+ years of experience in fintech, payments, banking product management, treasury or liquidity risk, data science, or engineering
  • Experience with treasury management, cash forecasting, liquidity risk, or payments infrastructure
  • Comfort with quantitative and optimization concepts, including forecasting and decision models
  • Experience shipping end-to-end systems with financial exposure, such as NSF, overdraft, or FX risk
  • Strong analytical foundation and comfort with data, metrics, and evidence-based decisions
  • Ability to translate quantitative models into product requirements and user-facing tools
  • Comfort with data pipelines, system-of-record design, and real-time systems
  • Ability to read technical architecture diagrams and participate in system design discussions
  • Exceptional written communication and ability to create clear product specifications
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to define a product roadmap
  • Experience working with Treasury, Finance, or banking and lending partners
  • Track record of building trust across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to facilitate difficult conversations and navigate competing priorities
  • Bias toward action and ability to ship an initial working product and iterate
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Snowflake, and AI tools for analysis and prototyping
  • Background in treasury management systems or cash forecasting
  • Understanding of optimization techniques such as linear programming and graph theory
  • Exposure to stablecoins or crypto rails, including USDT, USDC, Ethereum, Tron, or Solana
  • Experience with banking API integrations, corridor economics, or FX products
  • Previous startup or Series A/B scale-up experience
