About the role
Email remains the most trusted-yet most targeted-communication channel in the enterprise. Cloudflare is building the next generation of email security, evolving a proven platform trusted by Fortune 500 and Global 2000 organizations. We're looking for a Product Manager III to own the complete vision: accelerating a world-class email security platform that is fast, secure, and natively integrated with Cloudflare's Zero Trust stack.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the charge in defining how the world's most sophisticated organizations protect their communication, leading the industry's shift away from legacy "boxes" toward an AI-first, cloud-native, and identity-aware security posture.
Responsibilities
- Define the Next-Gen Vision: Architect and own the strategic roadmap for our Email Security solution, ensuring Cloudflare remains the definitive answer to evolving threats like Business Email Compromise (BEC) and advanced phishing.
- Drive New Logo Wins: Act as the strategic engine for growth, building the features and competitive differentiators needed to displace legacy incumbents and win the hearts of Global 2000 CISOs.
- Translate Data into Action: Partner with engineering to build intuitive reporting and visualization tools that turn massive amounts of threat data into clear, actionable insights for CISOs & security practitioners.
- Enrich the Zero Trust Ecosystem: Bolster the seamless integration of Email Security into the broader Cloudflare stack, architecting a "better together" experience that bridges Gateway, CASB, and DLP into a single, powerhouse defense layer.
- Own the Integration Ecosystem: Expand our reach by building robust, seamless integrations with third-party enterprise tools, ensuring Cloudflare is the heartbeat of the customer's security stack.
- Evangelize the Platform: Serve as a technical and strategic leader, representing the Email Security vision to internal stakeholders, the sales field, and the broader security community.
- Strategic Product Leadership: 5+ years of PM experience, with a proven track record of owning and scaling complex enterprise security products in a high-growth environment.
- Competitive Closer Mindset: Demonstrated experience building products designed to win in a highly competitive market, with a focus on feature differentiation and "displacement" strategy.
- Zero Trust Fluency: A deep understanding of modern security architectures and the value of a unified platform approach (Identity, Device, and Data security).
- Analytical Power: The ability to leverage large-scale datasets to build intuitive, "recommendation-driven" features that help security teams work smarter.
- Exceptional Storytelling: A marketing-oriented communication style that turns technical roadmaps into exciting, visionary narratives for both internal and external audiences.
- Operational Excellence: High ownership of the entire product lifecycle, from high-fidelity PRDs to collaborating with cross-functional teams for global launches.
- Technical Credibility: Comfortable navigating architectural trade-offs with senior engineers regarding mail flow (M365/Google Workspace), cloud infrastructure, and API performance.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Threat Intelligence Knowledge: Familiarity with the mechanics of modern email threats and how ML can be used for detection.
- UX/UI Passion: A strong eye for dashboard design and data visualization, ensuring security tools are as beautiful as they are functional.
- Developer Mindset: Experience building or managing developer-facing products or APIs.
Compensation
Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.
- For New York City, Washington, Washington D.C. and California (excluding Bay Area) based hires: Estimated annual salary of $141,000 - $194,000
- For Colorado based hires: Estimated annual salary of $128,000 - $176,000
Equity
This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare's equity plan.
