Job Description:

The Product Manager plays a central role in the BW Packaging growth plan and serves as the general manager of the product line, accountable for business outcomes and empowered to make decisions about what is prioritized, developed, and gets investment. They own and are responsible for the product strategy, roadmap, commercial and operational outcomes, and overall long-term success of the business.

The Product Manager leads the strategy, performance, and lifecycle of the product line by bringing together customer insights, market intelligence, and cross-functional expertise to drive innovation, growth, and profitability. Through active listening, meaningful engagement, influence, and shared accountability, they align engineering, operations, sales, innovation, marketing, finance, and service around a common vision and make informed trade-off decisions that maximize value for both customers and the business. Functional leaders retain responsibility for the day-to-day execution of their organizations, while the Product Manager ensures priorities remain aligned, decisions support the product strategy, and the organization delivers a cohesive customer experience.

In essence, the Product Manager owns the "what" and the "why," while functional leaders own the expertise, execution, and consistency of the "how," creating shared accountability for product line performance and customer outcomes.

Operating via a cross functional team, the Product Manager drives product line P&L impact by balancing customer value, market opportunity, technical product strategy, operational capability, and financial performance to drive sustainable growth. Uses disciplined, insight-led approaches to fuel growth, strengthen competitiveness, improve profitability, and deliver measurable value to customers and the business.

  • Fall in love with solving customer problems and tenaciously improve the lives of people — operating with discipline, leveraging scale, and delivering with process excellence.
  • Turn strategy into integrated, cross-functional plans that create measurable value for customers and the business.
  • Prioritize actions and investments aligned with right-to-win criteria, driving innovation, competitiveness, and long-term value.
  • Champion teamwork and shared accountability across product, engineering, commercial, operations, innovation, and finance functions.
