About the job
The IB is transforming how it does technology delivery through the implementation of a new operating model: the Technology Playbook. The Product Management department is accountable for the outcome of the IB’s portfolio of customer-facing technologies throughout their lifecycle. This involves balancing business requirements, customer feedback, technology needs and market trends in service of IB’s strategic objectives. The role is responsible for the business performance of a smaller portfolio of inter-related products in digital assessment with medium complexity or a single high-complexity product, with no line management responsibility.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and communicate product strategy and roadmaps aligned to IB strategic objectives and KPIs
Define and prioritise features based on customer value, business outcomes and technical feasibility
Translate business needs into clear product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
Collaborate with engineering, UX and cross-functional teams to deliver product outcomes
Drive customer-centric practices through continuous feedback, data and end-to-end journey focus
Monitor product performance and lead responses to risks, issues and opportunities
Continuously analyse market, competitor and sector trends to inform product decisions
Contribute to continuous improvement of product management practices and ways of working
Proven experience in product management, ideally within educational technology or mission-led organisations
Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional and technical teams
Strong understanding of the global K-12 education sector and digital learning products
Experience developing and managing product roadmaps and backlogs
Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Customer-focused mindset with the confidence to make informed trade-off decisions
