PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop automation software for both Cyclops and Cynergy tool inspections data that integrates with iFortress’ asset management SOP.
  • Assist with new product development including integration into operations and software programs. 
  • Provide on-site technical support for Cyclops and Cynergy programs.
  • Assist the Technical Director with day-to-day product line engineering for new product development, sustaining engineering on existing designs, and continuous SOP review.
  • Manage field trials of new and modified equipment while specializing in on-site technical support during field trials to ensure successful first deployment of any new equipment. 
  • Provide new training product technical training and support to operators to include preparation and maintenance of training materials for both customers and Fortress operations. 
  • Provide internal product training in service and repair to Fortress operations.   
  • On-going maintenance and improvement of bespoke proprietary Fortress technologies: leak-test racks, data and analytics software, tool count reporting, KPI reporting, etc.
  • Lead the future integration of existing Fortress systems onto larger NOV platforms: JDE or other ERP’s, HSE reporting, Track-a-Tool, CRM’s, etc.
  • Optimize Fortress’ manual processes by introducing automated solutions where needed. 
  • Administrator for all digital systems within the business. 
  • Assist upcoming international operations with technical support, root cause analysis investigation, and customer on-boarding.
  • Conduct on-sight root cause analysis investigation as needed.

 

EDUCATION & INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, required.  Bachelor’s degree in other field along with ERP experience acceptable in lieu of Engineering Degree.
  • Significant Oil and Gas experience, US frac experience is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of US frac operations, completions tools, and setting tool technologies is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to include the ability to provide group presentations in a seminar environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel & PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
  • Computer programming preferred (C#, Java, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with working with ERP’s preferred.
  • Valid US driver’s license and safe driving history.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Maintain certification to operate NOV company vehicles.
  • Capability to pass all Operator HSE requirements / training as a prerequisite to visiting their wellsites.
  • Significant domestic travel and potential international travel will be required.
  • Ability to pass and comply with Oil Company HSE training requirements for constant and immediate access to wellsite where Fortress is deploying tools. 


Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or bachelor's in other field plus ERP experience)
  • Significant Oil and Gas industry experience (US frac experience preferred)
  • Basic understanding of US frac operations, completions tools, and setting tool technologies
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks
  • Computer programming experience (C#, Java, Python, etc.)
  • Experience working with ERPs (JDE or other)
