This position will be responsible for leading our new product introduction effort.  This includes full ownership of the NPI schedule, budget, accountability for program deliverables and responsibility to manage a contract manufacturing team in support of the new product introduction.

This position has high visibility at the executive level and ability to influence program direction.  The Product Introduction Manager will report to the Director of Manufacturing Operations.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Manage a cross-functional team to drive new product introduction from Program Start into Manufacturing to meet volume, quality and cost targets.

  • Coordinate program activities with our contract manufacturer to provide in-depth DFM, proto and pilot build execution, reliability testing, and manufacturing readiness 

  • Develop, implement and continuously improve NPI Processes to incorporate discipline key to achieving a successful launch

  • Provide strong leadership to identify program risks and propose solutions to mitigate impact

  • Track NPI budget and product costs to ensure we meet program targets

Qualifications:

  • Strong leader with 10+ years’ experience in Program Management role

  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles, practices and procedures, as well as internal policies and procedures

  • A strong team player and is highly self-motivated and willing to take ownership.

  • Experience working in CE Industry; audio product experience preferred

  • Engineering degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university

  • Good understanding of product development processes, particularly for high-technology products.

  • Strong focus on schedules critical-to-quality and critical-to-launch.

  • Closely coordinate development and launch activities between internal and CM teams to ensure availability of support

  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with external and internal "customers" and "partners".

  • Engineering process experience (design practices, design reviews, patents)

  • Knowledge and appreciation in dealing with contract manufacturers and suppliers (business practices, cultural differences, travel, etc.)
