In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and execute engine and vehicle component testing programs that drive heavy-duty product development and validation. You will own testing end to end — from test planning and hardware procurement through test article build, execution, data analysis, and post-test closure — while ensuring every phase meets established engineering procedures, standards, and safety requirements.
Success in this role calls for a strong grounding in diesel engine performance fundamentals and the confidence to troubleshoot complex issues spanning engines, test systems, instrumentation, controls, and facility infrastructure. Working alongside engineering teams, technical specialists, and test operations personnel, you will lead investigations, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions that keep testing safe, efficient, and on schedule. Familiarity with Cyflex, Calterm, and data acquisition systems will allow you to validate data quality quickly and deliver CTRs, teardown reviews, and technical recommendations that engineering can act on.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Develop and execute test plans that directly support heavy-duty product development and validation program milestones.
- Coordinate hardware procurement, instrumentation requirements, and test article builds to keep scheduled testing on track.
