Job Description

As Product Engineer – Mechatronics Integration (Electrical) at NTS Singapore, you will be responsible for supporting new product introduction, manufacturing processes, and product improvements from design through production. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and customers to resolve technical issues, manage engineering changes, and ensure product quality. The engineer develops and optimizes assembly processes, supports pilot builds and production ramps, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires strong knowledge of mechatronics systems, precision assembly, troubleshooting, and manufacturing processes within a high-tech environment.

Furthermore, your key responsibilities are:

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI), product improvements, component production, assembly processes, and packaging activities to ensure successful product transition to manufacturing

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality control procedures for robust and efficient production

  • Manage engineering changes, including Engineering Change Notices (ECN), Engineering Change Requests (ECR), and customer approvals

  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and customer teams to resolve technical issues and improve product manufacturability

  • Support pilot builds, production ramp-up, tooling/equipment validation, and troubleshooting of manufacturing issues

  • Provide technical support for complex mechatronic systems, including assembly, testing, qualification, and design change validation

  • Train production teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and implement process enhancements

  • Maintain and manage technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and customer-related product documents

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related engineering discipline

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in high-precision assembly, product engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering roles

  • Hands-on knowledge of mechatronic systems, including sensors, actuators, linear motors, servo systems, motion control, pneumatics, and electronics

  • Experience with manufacturing processes and troubleshooting in high-tech industries, preferably semiconductor, precision equipment, or similar environments

  • Ability to perform root cause analysis, problem-solving, and advanced troubleshooting for complex technical issues

  • Proficient in interpreting and updating technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, customers, and production personnel

  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment and familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA and process control plans is preferred
