Job Summary

Implementing and operationalising Data Quality capabilities on the Ataccama platform, including data profiling, validation, rule design, scorecards, monitoring, issue remediation and adoption of enterprise Data Quality practices.
While Data Quality will be the primary area of focus, the role forms part of a broader Enterprise Data Management platform team and requires collaboration across Master Data Management, Reference Data Management, Metadata, Data Catalog and Data Governance capabilities

Job Description

The ideal candidate is an experienced enterprise application specialist with a proven track record of implementing, configuring, enhancing, and supporting business critical applications. The individual should be capable of engaging with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translating those requirements into application solutions, configuring workflows and business rules, and supporting the ongoing evolution of the platform. Experience gained on other enterprise applications is valued, as the role requires the ability to rapidly learn and become proficient in new platforms and technologies.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data stewards, architects, and engineering teams to understand business requirements, evaluate product capabilities, configure solutions, and deliver enhancements that meet business objectives.

This role is suited to candidates with experience implementing, configuring, and supporting enterprise applications. It is not a traditional infrastructure support or server administration role. Success in this position requires the ability to understand business requirements, leverage product capabilities, configure solutions, and deliver measurable business outcomes

Key Responsibilities

Business Requirements & Solution Design

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, business requirements, and process improvement opportunities.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into application configurations, workflows, business rules, and platform capabilities.
• Recommend solutions based on product functionality and industry best practices.
• Facilitate requirement workshops, solution discussions, and user demonstrations.

Product Expertise

• Strong ability to understand product capabilities, limitations, and configuration options.
• Ability to align business requirements with standard platform capabilities and best practices.
• Experience working with enterprise platforms such as MDM, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Governance, ERP, CRM, Workflow, or Case Management solutions.
• Ability to assess when requirements should be solved through configuration, customization, process change, or integration.

Application Configuration & Implementation

• Ensure solutions are aligned to architectural standards, governance policies, and business objectives.
• Configure workflows, business rules, approval processes, data models, validation rules, and application features to meet business needs.
• Own the delivery of enhancements from requirements analysis through design, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Participate in the implementation of new capabilities, modules, and enhancements.
• Collaborate with vendors, architects, and development teams to deliver business solutions.
• Evaluate product features and identify opportunities to improve business processes through configuration rather than customization.

Product Ownership & Continuous Improvement

• Act as a functional and technical SME for assigned applications.
• Drive adoption of platform capabilities and identify opportunities to maximize business value.
• Provide guidance to business users on best practices and optimal use of the application.
• Maintain awareness of product roadmaps and emerging capabilities
• Monitor data quality metrics and investigating and resolve data anomalies and validation failures.
• Define and maintain reusable Data Quality rule patterns and standards.
• Support onboarding of new data domains into Enterprise Data Quality monitoring.
• Collaborate with Data Owners and Data Stewards to improve data quality controls and remediation processes
• Manage incidents related to data integrity, synchronization, and platform availability.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions to recurring issues
• Engage with product vendors and implementation partners to resolve complex issues, evaluate new capabilities, and support platform roadmap initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field. Certifications in MDM, DQ, or metadata tools are a plus.
• 5+ years of experience implementing, configuring, enhancing, and supporting enterprise applications in complex business environments.
• Experience working with MDM, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Governance, ERP, CRM, Workflow, Case Management, or other business-critical enterprise platforms is highly desirable.
• Candidates should demonstrate the ability to engage business stakeholders, translate requirements into solutions, and successfully deliver business outcomes through application configuration and platform capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into configured application solutions and successfully delivering business outcomes
• Experience participating in application implementations, upgrades, migrations, or platform transformation initiatives.
• Experience working in Agile, DevOps, or product-centric delivery environments.

Desirable Experience

• Experience implementing Data Quality controls, profiling solutions, validation frameworks, monitoring dashboards, or remediation workflows.
• Experience with Critical Data Elements (CDEs), data quality scorecards, and data quality governance practices
• Data Governance, Master Data Management, Reference Data Management, Metadata Management or Data Quality initiatives.
• Informatica MDM, IDQ or EDC.
• Ataccama ONE.
• Collibra.
• Talend.
• SAP MDG.
• Salesforce.
• Oracle, SAP or other enterprise application platforms.

Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology
