The primary objective of the position is to have product design & process development responsibility for all products produced in the Philippines.
About the job:
- Responsible for developing new products and manufacturing processes, coordinating cross-functional teams, conducting testing and evaluations to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards, managing development projects, and recommending tools and equipment to support efficient production and product expansion.
- Responsible for leading product design reviews and release processes, reporting project status to management, coordinating with international safety agencies for product approvals, and recommending design or manufacturing improvements to enhance product performance, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Manage technicians and provide direction, assistance, and guidance, as needed
- Other duties that may arise in the course of employment, as designated by the supervisor or manager
- Coordinates and participates in quality-related activities affecting product development.
About you:
- Bachelor's in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering graduate
- 5+ years of experience in new product design and development in the PCB industry
- Creative mindset to find new design concepts.
- With broad knowledge and experience with materials, in particular metals, plastics, and composites (PCB, FR4, Prepreg, and Lamination, etc.),
- Project Management experience background in managing multiple projects in product design and process development
- Above average English oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of computer skills such as CAD, MS Office, internet, etc.
