About the Role:
The Product Developer is responsible for coding new business application features by participating in all phases of the development process including review and analysis of functional specifications, coding, unit testing, and maintenance. May interact with Support and customers.
What You Will Do:
- Analyze functional and technical requirements and clarify scope, dependencies, and expected outcomes with Business Analysts and Product Managers.
- Translate detailed design specifications into reliable, maintainable, and scalable software solutions.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain business application features in accordance with approved requirements and coding standards.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, code reviews, and issue resolution to ensure software quality and performance.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to validate completed work, investigate defects, and support timely resolution of quality issues.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design review, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and maintenance.
- Provide technical input for internal training materials, development documentation, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Develop or maintain installation scripts, utilities, and supporting programs when required.
- Maintain accurate work and project records and communicate progress, risks, and impediments to relevant stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement through effective use of development tools, automation, and AI-assisted development practices.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
- Strong understanding of software development principles, debugging techniques, coding standards, and development lifecycle practices.
- Proficiency in C#/.NET development, with knowledge of .NET Core, .NET Framework, and ASP.NET MVC.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, database concepts, and application integration.
- Ability to interpret functional specifications and detailed design documents and convert them into effective technical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity, code quality, testing, and problem resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of applicable software development experience with demonstrated technical proficiency.
- Minimum of 2 years of specialized experience in business application or product development.
- Experience developing and maintaining applications using C#/.NET technologies.
- Experience with software testing, debugging, source control, and defect resolution.
- Experience working collaboratively with Product Management, Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, Support, and other cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Microsoft SQL Server, and NoSQL.
- Experience working in an Agile or iterative software development environment.
- Experience developing enterprise or business management applications.
- Familiarity with automated testing, code review practices, CI/CD processes, and AI-assisted development tools.
