monday.com is looking for a Product Analyst who is passionate about data and has a strong analytical background. You will drive key data-driven processes and decisions, aimed at finding new and existing opportunities for our product. You will join our Product Team based in our headquarters in Tel aviv, Israel.

About The Role:

• Play a critical role in promoting data-driven decision-making and optimize our product to directly impact the success and growth of our platform
• Be the primary analytical focal point for your group and main stakeholders*
• Lead deep dive analysis to uncover new opportunities and directly determine the product roadmap
• Responsible for analyzing complex data sets, identifying key insights, and translating them into actionable recommendations to enhance our product offerings
•  Develop hypotheses, design experiments, and conduct A/B tests to measure the impact of product changes and optimize key metrics.
• Create and maintain dashboards to track product performance, monitor KPIs, and communicate insights to the team.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to identify opportunities for product improvements based on data data-driven insights.

This interview is designed to get a sense of both your technical proficiency and your analytical mindset in solving business problems.

I’d like to share some details about what to expect in the first interview:

1. SQL Questions:

The first interview includes SQL questions that the candidate solves in real-time while explaining their approach to building the solution. These questions are based on some of our KPIs and database tables, providing the candidate with a sense of our daily work.

Necessary requirements to pass :

• Use SQL syntax at a sufficient level with all relevant functions - Join, aggregations, filtering..
• Use SQL to put together a solution that works for the problem
• Order and organization
• Explain top down framing of the solution
• Pay attention to the details

 2. Theoretical Business Questions:

We’ll also discuss business-oriented questions to assess your critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and approach to product analysis. These may include scenarios where you'll need to explain how you'd analyze unintuitive trends, measure success or leverage analytical findings into business results.

During the interview, we will present the candidate with a use case where we improved a specific feature through an A/B test and ask questions to assess their product thinking and business acumen.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a similar data analyst role
• Proficiency level of SQL - must
• You are a great storyteller and communicator and can build fruitful relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders
• You have a deep understanding of numbers, as well as a strong business sense. You know when to use a single number and when to build a complex forecasting model
• You are capable of tackling ambiguous problems and challenges
• You have a passion for making sense of user behaviour, using any available methods and a dedicated advocate of a user-centered approach in product development
• You are a curious, independent and rigorous individual
• You have the technical skills to perform advanced analytics with large datasets with technologies such as Python, Pandas, R, SQL
