Job Description:

Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine (J&J IM), a pharmaceutical company of Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Product Analyst – Local Analytics Hub

This position has a primary location of Madrid (Spain) , Lisbon (Portugal) or Milan (Italy)

Our technology EMEA Local Analytics Hub is a trusted technological partner with regional business commercial teams for the management and coordination of technical delivery of data & analytics solutions to solve diverse local business needs across EMEA countries and clusters (e.g., business intelligence solutions, data visualization, reporting, data management).

You will help translate business requirements into effective analytics solutions, working closely with regional commercial Business Owners and BI teams, Business Technology peers, Engineers/Developers, and other cross-functional partners. This will contribute to shaping the EMEA vision, mission, and analytics roadmaps within the wider Business Insights & Reporting Product Group, enabling data-driven solutions that generate measurable business value at the local and regional level.

This position reports directly to the Local Analytics Hub Technical Product Manager (TPM).

Responsibilities
  • Understand user needs and gather requirements to translate them into detailed requirements for the Squad

  • Build use cases, writes, manages and clarifies user stories, visualization, and process flows

  • Explain how requirements may be implemented from a functional standpoint and drive/improve user experience

  • Stay 2-3 sprints ahead of squad and ensures each feature has a clear definition of done and that each feature level deliverable is aligned to a definition of readiness to enter sprint

  • Communicate vision to developers and testers

  • May help write UAT scripts and participate in User Acceptance Testing as needed

  • Document confirmed business processes to serve as reference for development and IT support

  • Apply business process improvement methods for optimization

  • Maintain a solid understanding of business needs, processes, value drivers, and industry trends; partner with the Product Owner to ensure squad backlog priorities are aligned with business and group requirements

  • Track metrics and build reports to measure progress

  • Help manage dependencies with other squads’, working closely with Technical Product Owners, Product Analyst peers and the TPM

  • Apply compliance requirements within scope of responsibility, ensures SDLC documentation, system configuration and compliance activities are up to date as required

  • Understands portfolio of IT systems that the business uses; may specialize in specific applications and as such hold deep product / BPM expertise

Core Competences
  • Experience collecting requirements and translating into a product vision by applying their expertise in product development, engineering and UX

  • Understanding of business/processes and high-level understanding of high-quality Data and Analytics product delivery

  • Experience in managing a product backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics, attending product team ceremonies, removing blockers

  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment and business value

  • Foster a culture that relentlessly focuses on effective communication and collaboration across teams and departments, building empathy and influencing stakeholders

  • Adaptability and Continuous Learning, which covers curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and approaches, adapt to change, and stay updated in the fast-paced data and insights industry

  • Agile and results-oriented, which focuses on working in a fast-paced environment, documenting solutions, delivering projects, and achieving results through initiative and creativity

  • Proven success in participating in cross-functional self-organized teams

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business Analytics or other relevant disciplines or equivalent by experience

  • >3 years of experience in designing, delivering, and supporting digital analytics solutions – from both front-end and back-end perspective

  • Experience with business intelligence reporting and data visualization tools (i.e., QlikSense/QlikCloud, Microsoft PowerBI) and data management (i.e., Snowflake) - required

  • Experience in Agile delivery and software (i.e., JIRA) is a plus

  • Experience in Advanced Analytics tools (e.g., Dataiku) and languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus

  • Curiosity in advanced data & analytics innovative technologies and approaches (e.g., unstructured data, artificial intelligence, machine learning) is a plus

  • Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus

  • Familiar with common EU regulations around data privacy and security

  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills, is required
