About the role.
The Procurement Specialist supports the execution of the North American material inventory policy across multiple manufacturing locations. This role is responsible for ensuring material supply continuity through effective MRP analytics, purchase order execution, and proactive risk mitigation. The position provides cross-functional support to identify and address material risks, helping to protect business attainment and adherence metrics.
Note: This position is based in Florenceville Main Office with a hybrid work model and mandatory in-office days.
What you'll be doing.
- Execute material inventory policy using MRP analytics and purchase order management aligned with inventory targets
- Monitor and manage inbound material risks through defined processes to mitigate impact on attainment and adherence
- Support escalation and resolution of material supply risks and disruptions
- Partner with Procurement S&OE Lead to provide real-time visibility into material risks
- Ensure accuracy of material attainment and adherence reporting for assigned manufacturing locations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, planning, sales, and marketing
- Maintain accountability for performance deliverables within assigned sites
- Manage Supplier Managed Inventory (SMI) processes to ensure vendor accountability and compliance
- Contribute to continuous improvement in procurement and supply chain processes
What you'll need to be successful.
- Post-secondary education in Business (preferred)
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, or related field (preferred but not required)
- Strong analytical and planning capabilities with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with systems such as SAP, TMS, and Power BI is an asset
- Demonstrated project management skills (preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to make sound business decisions
- Flexibility to travel occasionally to McCain plants and supplier locations

The role sits within the North America Procurement Service Center, a collaborative team focused on ensuring efficient procurement and supply continuity across manufacturing operations. The team works closely with cross-functional partners and suppliers, supporting strategic supply chain processes including planning, delivery, and storage of raw and packaging materials. This role plays a key part in driving operational excellence across multiple sites.

Compensation Package : $52,600.00 - $70,200.00 . CAD annually
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
