Procurement Manager

We're now seeking a new Procurement Manager for our Supply Chain operations at Bloq.it, focusing on large-scale production planning for our smart locker solutions. As the Lead Buyer, you'll shape our purchasing strategy, ensuring timely and cost-effective material acquisition. You'll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to optimize processes, control costs, and uphold quality standards.

What you’ll be doing: 

• Implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy aligned with company objectives while ensuring compliance of the purchasing budgets;

• Establish long-term relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure a reliable supply chain;

• Continuously assess supplier performance and implement improvement strategies to enhance quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness;

• Ensure that all purchased materials and components meet quality standards and specifications.

• Resolve quality issues with suppliers promptly and effectively;

• Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and operational demands while minimizing carrying costs;

• Generate regular reports on purchasing performance and cost analysis;

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production and logistics, to ensure alignment with production schedules and project timelines;

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders such as Delivery & Maintenance team to address their purchasing needs and concerns;

• Negotiate price reductions and contract terms aligned with company needs;

• Source alternative suppliers to reduce the company's risk.
  

What you’ll bring to the table: 

• Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager, Lead Buyer, Sourcing Manager or a similar role;

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA is valued;

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills;

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities;

• Proficient in English and Portuguese (both written and spoken);

• Highly organized and process oriented;

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

• Knowledge of smart locker systems or related technology is a plus;

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment that is constantly changing and adapting;

• Familiarity with Excel and prior experience in startups or big-tech environments are a plus;

• Lead and manage teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  

It would be great if you would also have:

• Experience setting up or scaling procurement functions from scratch.
