The Procurement Manager will lead the contract and procurement processes in the country, ensuring the timely, effective and efficient sourcing of goods and services that align with the company's and organization's strategic objectives. You will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing costs to drive value for the business to align with the Country Business Plan.

Principal Accountabilities:

Category management:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Lead the sourcing process for goods and services, conducting market analysis and supplier evaluations.
  • Conduct supply market analysis in order to understand trends in cost drivers, supplier market structure.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify procurement needs and establish purchasing plans.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of procurement activities and ensure compliance with company policies (Contracts Board Submission Documents, Contracts, Contracts logs, etc)
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in alignment with sourcing strategy; and that appropriate audit trails are embedded in procurement programs, for internal audit and performance management purposes.
  • Report exceptions where business procurement activities are not followed
  • Drives continuous improvements of processes and procedures in collaboration with the Category managers and business departments involved.

Supplier Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality service and product delivery.
  • Monitor supplier performance and develop strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Conduct supplier reviews and assessments to identify improvement and cost reduction opportunities.

Business Partnering:

  • Work closely with cross-functional, internal teams and suppliers partners in order to facilitate the best communication practices, add value, and reduce costs
  • Provide procurement expertise and guidance on key projects and initiatives to influence spend, cost savings and vendor rationalization.

Contract management

  • Facilitate the implementation of global contracts, ensuring adherence to their terms and conditions during order placements, while keeping users informed and aware of all relevant initiatives.
  • Ensure that contract reviews are conducted and that insights gained are incorporated into the commissioning and procurement processes for continuous improvement.
  • Work with Contract Holder support to identify any issues of non-compliance or discrepancies in contracts early on, addressing them directly or escalating them as needed for resolution.
  • Provide comprehensive support to contract holders in effectively managing key contracts through all phases, from the initiation of startup to the execution of closure and feedback.

Requirements

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experiences:

  • Engineer's degree or Master's degree in Economy, supply chain and logistics, international trade
  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in contract procurement or supply chain management functions
  • Strong understanding of procurement procedures, contract negotiations, and supplier management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement procurement strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across departments.
  • Purchase order processing knowledge
  • Financial awareness.
