Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Procurement Executive to manage procurement activities for the Defense Business Vertical. The role involves handling end-to-end procurement coordination, SAP process support, supplier and cross-functional coordination, reporting and analytics, and continuous process improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate should possess strong procurement domain knowledge, SAP process understanding, analytical capability, and experience working with cross-functional teams in a global business environment.
Procurement Operations
- Manage procurement activities for the Defense business vertical.
- Support end-to-end procurement processes including material planning, purchase coordination, supplier follow-up, and delivery tracking.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely material availability for projects and production requirements.
- Support procurement activities aligned with quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Understand business requirements related to SAP procurement processes and communicate system capabilities effectively to business teams.
- Support internal teams in resolving day-to-day SAP and procurement-related operational issues.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (CFTs) for:
- GRN (Goods Receipt Note)
- IQC (Incoming Quality Control)
- Payment coordination
- Blocked stock clearance
- GRN (Goods Receipt Note)
- Ensure process compliance and smooth transaction flow within ERP/SAP systems.
- Contribute ideas and best practices for procurement process improvements and system optimization.
- Conceptualize and support implementation of procurement industry best practices through systems and process enhancements.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to improve procurement efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- Generate procurement metrics, project performance reports, and forecast analysis using:
- MS Excel
- Power BI
- Other reporting tools
- MS Excel
- Analyze historical and monthly data to support procurement planning and decision-making.
- Provide timely reports, dashboards, and metrics to management and project leads.
- Work collaboratively with finance, quality, stores, planning, and project teams.
- Coordinate with global teams and stakeholders across multiple time zones.
- Ensure timely communication and issue resolution with suppliers and internal departments.
- Stay updated with procurement systems, processes, and industry trends.
- Demonstrate willingness to continuously learn and upgrade skills as per business requirements.

- Experience in procurement, supply chain, or ERP support roles, preferably in:
- Defense industry
- Manufacturing industry
- EMS environment

- Strong knowledge of:
- Procurement processes and supply chain operations
- SAP procurement modules and ERP systems
- Finance and procurement domain concepts
- Procurement processes and supply chain operations
- Good understanding of:

Skills Required

- Proficiency with Power BI or similar analytics/reporting tools
- Understanding of procurement processes, GRN, IQC coordination, payment coordination, inventory and blocked stock management
- Strong analytical and forecasting capability using historical and operational data
- Good communication, stakeholder management, coordination and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in cross-functional and global environments and adapt to dynamic requirements
- Experience in Defense, Aerospace, EMS, or high-reliability manufacturing industries
- Exposure to SAP implementation/support activities
