This is a full time positon, working from 8am to 5pm, based from our Head Office in Wootton, Bedfordshire
This is more than an administration role. You’ll work closely with the Procurement Manager and teams across the business, helping with supplier management, purchasing activity, reporting and procurement projects, while looking for opportunities to make the way we work smarter, more efficient and cost-effective.
If you’re organised, commercially minded and have an interest in developing your career in procurement, this could be a great opportunity to grow your experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting the Procurement Manager with procurement projects and delivery.
Managing and maintaining supplier information within the Coupa Supplier Portal, including new supplier requests and changes to existing supplier details.
Researching potential suppliers and evaluating them against factors such as price, quality and delivery.
Completing supplier due diligence checks and ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
Supporting supplier relationship management and working with internal teams to understand their procurement requirements.
Validating purchase order requests and reviewing supplier spend and reports.
Maintaining accurate records of procurement activity and providing regular reporting.
Assisting with monthly procurement reports for the CEO and Finance Director.
Working alongside Accounts Payable to help resolve escalated outstanding invoices.
Reviewing existing procurement processes and identifying opportunities to streamline and improve ways of working.
Using data and Excel to identify trends, opportunities and potential cost savings.
What You’ll Bring
Experience working within a procurement, purchasing or supply chain environment.
A genuine interest in procurement and a desire to develop your knowledge and experience.
Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with people across different areas of the business.
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
Strong Excel skills and the ability to work confidently with data and reports.
The ability to review existing ways of working, challenge the norm and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Experience with Coupa would be an advantage, but it’s not essential — full training will be provided.
