The Role

First Entertainment Credit Union is looking for a Process Improvement Specialist who will play a crucial role in identifying, analyzing, and optimizing operational processes within our retail department. Applying your lean six sigma skills, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather data, conduct process assessments, and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and member satisfaction.


A successful candidate is someone who has a strong background in Power BI and can use data and dashboards to tell a compelling story. As the specialist, you will work to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining operations, reducing costs, and enhancing customer experience by leveraging your automation skills.


This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity reporting to the Process Improvement Manager and is based in Hollywood, CA. The targeted salary in California is between $85,000 and $105,000.

 

Responsibilities


· Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues contributing to process inefficiencies or customer dissatisfaction. Document findings and make informed recommendations to stakeholders.

· Utilize analytical tools and techniques to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.

· Lead cross-functional projects to completion with quantifiable results, monitor and track progress of improvement initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.

· Develop standardized workflows and procedures to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.

· Document current processes, proposed changes, and updated procedures in a clear and comprehensive manner and provide trainings to retail teammates accordingly.

· Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of process improvements.

· Monitor and analyze KPI data to track performance trends and identify areas for further optimization.

· Prepare data-driven reports and presentations for management, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

· Perform other tasks as assigned by the leadership team.

Requirements

 

· A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred but not required.

· At least 3 years of experience in process improvement, business analysis, or related field, preferably in the financial services industry or retail banking.

· Certification in lean six sigma methodology.

· Proficiency in Power BI is required.

· Proficiency in Low-code/No-code tools such as Power Automate or Power Apps a huge plus.

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources.

· Proficiency in process mapping and analysis tools, such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar software.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.

· Knowledge of retail banking operations and regulatory requirements is a plus.

· Ability to teach and coach others in process improvement methodology
