Jouw afdeling

Binnen dit complexe netwerk van processen is het Vanderlande Service Site met als standplaats Team DHL Zaltbommel verantwoordelijk voor het onderhoud en de optimalisatie van een belangrijk deel van het material-handlingsysteem voor pakketten. Je werkt in een team van Service Technicians en de Maintenance Manager in Zaltbommel. Je werkt samen met de Global Service Desk, Process Engineers en Operations.

Jouw functie

Als Proces Engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor het uitvoeren van procesoptimalisaties met betrekking tot onze (geautomatiseerde) logistieke oplossingen in gebruik bij DHL Zaltbommel. Je focus ligt op deze locatie, maar je beheert ook zelfstandig en systematisch verschillende andere locaties en stelt plannen op om aan de behoeften van de klant te voldoen.

Samen met de klant en collega's meet en rapporteer je de prestaties van het klantenproces. Met behulp van systeem gegenereerde data analyseer je de prestaties, identificeer je verbeteringen en stel je oplossingen voor. Dit kunnen zowel technische oplossingen zijn (zoals apparatuur aanpassingen of softwareveranderingen) als operationele oplossingen (zoals afhandelingsprocedures en planningswijzigingen). Je coördineert de RCA voor complexe systeemfouten, evenals improvements. Dit omvat ook het dagelijkse operationele sturen op KPI's. Als onderdeel van je werk op het gebied van continue verbetering, identificeer je actief verbeteringen en aanpassingen vanuit de operatie en vertaald deze naar de klant behoefte.

Indien gevraagd ondersteun je ook bij het testen en implementeren van verbeteringen. Je bouwt een sterk netwerk binnen het Service team en met de klant. Je ontwikkeld ook tools als dashboards en methoden om de systeem prestaties te meten.

Jouw profiel

Als Proces Engineer ben je in staat om op operationeel, tactisch en strategisch niveau te handelen. Je bent in staat om te communiceren met servicetechnici en software-experts over technische details en begrijp je de activiteiten van de operators op de site. Ook weet je de voordelen van een specifieke oplossing op een overtuigende en constructieve manier te presenteren op managementniveau. Je hebt een sterk analytisch vermogen, samen met een ondernemende aanpak waarbij je verantwoordelijk bent om initiatief te nemen en beslissingen te nemen. Je hebt uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden en je bent in staat om goede relaties op te bouwen met onze klanten, zowel op kantoor als op de werkvloer.

• Je hebt een bachelor diploma in bijvoorbeeld: Logistiek, Supply Chain of Industrial Engineering;

• Je hebt affiniteit met het werken in een technische en logistieke omgeving;

• Minimaal 3+ jaar ervaring in een soortgelijke rol;

• Ervaring met stakeholder management;

• Sterke analytische vaardigheden en interesse in databases en data analytics tooling;

• Goede beheersing van Engels en Nederlands;

• Bereid om te reizen naar andere locaties in de Benelux.

Wat wij bieden

Wij zijn op zoek naar een senior kandidaat. Voor deze functie geldt een salaris tussen €4.500,- en €6.200,- bruto per maand (exclusief 8% vakantiegeld), aangevuld met een uitgebreide reiskostenvergoeding. Bij uitstekende prestaties is er zelfs ruimte om door te groeien buiten deze schaal.

Your department

Within this complex network of processes, Vanderlande Service Site based Team DHL Zaltbommel is responsible for maintenance and optimization of a significant part the material handling system for parcels. You will be working in a team of Service Technicians and the Maintenance Manager located at Zaltbommel. You will work together with other departments in the company such as the Global Service Desk, Process Engineers at other locations and operations.

Your position

As Process Engineer you’ll be responsible for executing process optimizations related to our (automated) logistics solutions in use by DHL Zaltbommel. Your focus will be on this site, but will also manage several other locations independently and systematically, and draw up plans to serve the customer needs.

Together with the customer and colleagues, you’ll measure and report the performance of the customers process. By using system-generated data, you will analyze this performance, identify improvements and propose solutions. This could be both technical solutions (such as equipment modifications or software changes) and operational solutions (such as handling procedures and planning changes).. You will be coordinating  root-cause finding for complex system errors as well as performance improvement studies and continuous improvement services. This also includes day to day operational steering on KPI’s. As a part of your work on continuous improvement, you actively identify improvements and modifications from the field and translate these into customer business cases.

Where requested you also support with the testing and implementation of the improvements. While doing, you will build a strong network within the service team as well as with the client. You’ll also develop tools as dashboards  and methods to measure and monitor system and process performance.

Your profile

As Process Engineer you’re able to act on operational, tactical and strategic level. On the one hand you are able to communicate with service technicians and software experts about technical details and understand the activities of the operators on the site. On the other hand you know how to present the benefits of a specific solution in a convincing and constructive way on management level. You have strong analytical capabilities, together with an entrepreneurial approach in which you are responsible to take the initiative and make decisions. You have excellent communication skills and you are able to build good relationships with our customers, both in the office environment as on the shopfloor.

- You have finished a bachelor degree in for example: Logistics, Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering;

- You have affinity with working in a technical and logistical environment;

- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role;

- Experience with stakeholder management;

- Strong analytical skills and an interest in databases and data analytics tooling;

- Good command of English and Dutch;

- Willing to travel to other sites in the Benelux.
